Vigevano, Italia - 13th September 2010
By: annix
Hi mum,
during the week end I visited Vigevano, a small town in the south of Milan. Vigevano is particularly well-known for its beautiful Renaissance "Piazza Ducale", in the centre of the town, one of the nicest one in Itay.
"Vigevano's main attraction is one of the finest piazzas in Italy, the Piazza Ducale, an elongated rectangle that is almost in the ideal proportions 1:3 advocated by the architectural theorist Antonio Filarete], which is also said to have been laid out by Bramante, and was certainly built for Ludovico il Moro, starting in 1492-93 and completed in record time, unusual for early Renaissance town planning. Piazza Ducale was actually planned to form a noble forecourt to his castle, unified by the arcades that completely surround the square, an amenity of the new North Italian towns built in the 13th century."
I also had a fruit cocktail while I was looking up to it!

Happy New Year mum!
I had a typical Italian lunch: zampone (a kind of pork leg) with lentils, then the traditional cake called Panettone!

Takamatsu, Japan - 23rd March 2011
By: hanachan
Hi Mum,
Now I'm in Japan, the world is watching. The stricken area is far from here. The everyday life here is the same before even after it happened, though people always think about it.
*** Here is the message to the world from Japan ***
Thank you very much for all.
We were really encouraged and comforted from all over the world.
Japan never give up and come back again.

Ritsurin Garden, Takamatsu, Japan - 3rd April 2011
By: hanachan
Hello mum,
Sakura cherry blossoms started to bloom.
This is Ritsurin Garden, one of the most beautiful and famous Gardens in Japan. It is located in the center of the city, among the modern buildings. Stepping inside it is like slipping into another world and another time.
For 228 years long since 1642, the Matsudaura family, the Lord of Takamatsu owned and maintained the garden. Today the garden is open to public.
hoping you like it!

Strawberry Farm, Mikicho, Japan - 17th April 2011
By: hanachan
Hi mummy,
Today I enjoyed picking strawberry.
The price of picking strawberry includes 60 minutes at the farm, in which time you are allowed to eat as many strawberries as you can.
This big red one looks so sweet.
