Merry (Belated) Christmas Mom!

I read the e-card that you sent! Thank you!

I spent most of my day sitting on the dessert table! (I'm not sure why there was a lightbulb on it!)



I made sure that none of the cookies went to waste! My favourite were the gingerbread men! Yum!



I was so full after that that I could hardly move! I relaxed by the tree and watched the lights blink until I fell asleep!

Hi again!

Remember how I said that there was no snow in Fredericton on Christmas Eve? Well a few days later that changed!



Brrr!



It was very pretty though!



There was so much snow that we couldn't go home on the day that we planned to!





After a few days and a lot of shovelling we finally were able to make the trip back to Nova Scotia.





Good bye Fredericton!



It was time for another long car ride nap!



I didn't see any endangered animals while I was there, but I did get to spend some time with a pet Cockatiel so that was fun!

Hello! ♥♥♥

Today is Valentines Day! I am so excited because Mercury gave me some heart candy this morning!



I wanted to give him something too but I wasn't sure what. I heard some noises and saw that Ren was baking a cake. I helped of course!



It was a pink heart shaped cake!



There was extra batter left over so we made some cupcakes too.



While they baked I got to pick out the kind of frosting that I wanted. I thought that pink was best!



The cake was done first but it was still too hot to put frosting on! I was very impatient!



I went outside for a little bit while I waited. There are no other birds out here today but there is lots and lots of snow!



At last! The cake is ready to ice!



I'm a pretty good cake froster I think!



I wanted the cake to be extra special so I decorated it with some of my candies.

Taa Daa! It's Finished!



I helped to put icing on the cupcakes too and that's when I realized that I knew what I should give Mercury! A cupcake! I put extra candies on his!



He liked it very much and he even shared with me! Yum!

Hi Again!

I decided that since I had not found any endangered animals yet I would have to go looking for some! My host found us a nearby trail to explore and off we went!



This summer has been very very wet and some of the paths were flooded!



It's a good thing that Rennire had rubber boots on! She got stuck in the mud a few times and I had to help pull her out!



The mud was good for one thing though! I could see animal tracks in it! Here are raccoon prints! They look like little hands!



I also found some deer prints!



The raccoon and deer tracks went off in opposite directions. We decided to follow the deer because it was daytime and the raccoon was probably sleeping.



After a little while we heard a noise. It was running water!



This stream was the perfect place to sit and rest for a bit.







I made friends with a mushroom!



Then it was time to go deeper into the forest. I wondered what animals were out in those trees watching us!



There were lots of holes and fallen trees for animals to hide in!





"Hello!?!?"



Nobody was home in that hole!

Soon we came to a little pond.



And guess who we found!



The deer! "Hello Deer!"



Deer are not endangered, but I was still very happy to meet one!

After we said good bye we continued walking until the path ended by the highway.



By then I was really tired and ready for a big long nap!

Woo Hoo!
After lots and lots of rain the sun finally came out! It was too nice of a day to stay home so we went for a drive to the ocean.



Along the way we saw lots of cute little fishing villages.





We decided to visit the most popular one. It's called Peggy's cove and it is famous for its lighthouse. Here it is!





It seems like lots of other people had the same idea as us! Rennire told me that this place is very popular with tourists.



They all seemed to be walking in the same direction so we followed them.



We arrived in the parking lot next to a big restaurant building.



From there I saw my first view of the lighthouse!



I wanted to get closer but then I saw this sign and I was a little afraid.



But there were lots of people on the rocks that didn't seem afraid so I decided to be brave and go closer.





This whole area is covered with granite rocks like this.



The ocean has made them very smooth!







There is the lighthouse again!





Yay! I made it without slipping or falling!





It was very tall!



There was a warning sign on the side of it too. Yikes!



I was extra careful!



I decided to find a quiet spot on the rocks to sit and think.



I pondered the meaning of life and wondered about where else I may travel too.



When I was finished it was time to go back. 





Goodbye lighthouse!





We wanted to go back to Halifax, but the sign pointed in both directions!



But don't worry we found our way home just fine!

Hello!

I've met a couple of new birds here that I wanted you to see!

The first is a pheasant that came into the yard one day. Can you see him?



He wasn't too interested in having his picture taken with me. I think it is because I am royal and he was intimidated!







I looked it up later and found that these birds are not endangered so I will have to keep looking!

Also I met some little birds called Juncos.



They are not endangered either!



She was a little bit shy at first (Probably because I'm royal) and did not want to come talk.



Eventually I (and the food I had!) won her over and we became friends!



And, of course, she bowed!



I've heard that I am going on a trip soon! I'm so excited! I wonder where it will be!

Hi!

Guess what! I am back in New Brunswick again!

New Brunswick is famous for covered bridges like this one!



This is called the Starkey Bridge. It was made in 1912. Interesting!




I've also learned that I'm about to be sent off to my next host! I'm so excited that I can hardly sleep! Where will I go!?!?

Hi!

I knew that I was going to be stuck in a package for a while so I wanted to spend my last day in Canada getting some exercise. So we travelled to the city of Saint John because it has both walking trails and a post office!

First we went to the Irving Park.



There were many different paths named after different animals. I chose the Heron Path because I thought it was the animal that looked most like me!





Right away it lead to a beach.





Then it went back into the forest.



And then to a different beach!





While I was admiring the view I saw a Canada goose fly by! Since coming to Canada it's the only one I have seen! (except when I looked into the mirror of course!)



After that we went back into the forest for a while.



While we were in there I saw something very strange run by. Ren and I (bravely) followed this animal so I could find out if it was endangered or not. It was a porcupine!



Can you see it? The porcupine was not interested in having his picture taken with me (or without me!) and I decided that I wouldn't bother it because its spikes looked very sharp!



Rennire told me that porcupines are not endangered. Hopefully I will actually see an endangered animal one day!

The Heron trail came out at yet another beach.



We noticed that the sky was getting dark but decided to keep going! Very soon after that it began to rain very hard!



Because of the rain, Rennire decided to jog instead of walk and that is when she got us lost. We somehow ended up on the seal trail instead!



We were way high up above all the beaches now!





We saw an arrow and decided to follow it...



And then we were on a completely new trail!



I was starting to get worried because I was supposed to be leaving for my next host in a few hours and we were very deep in the forest now!



Would we be lost forever!



At last there was another sign! But it didn`t tell us what we needed to know!



Then we were back on the seal trail again! Oh no!



It kept on going and going! We would be lost forever!



Then I spotted a familiar shape! We had found our path again! (but I don`t know how!)



Even better we found a map! It was easy to find our way after that! I will get to travel to my new host I was so relieved!



When we finished our walk I took some time to enjoy the fresh air before I left.



I will miss this place a little but I am also excited to see where I will go next! (I am a toy voyager after all! I love to travel!)



I will write you from my next destination!

Hello Mum. 

Great news - I arrived at my new home. A nice and friendly bunny gave me a warm welcome.

His name is Dicker Kumpel – and he will be my host here in Sülfeld.



Then he introduced me to his other guests – two little mice, and a friendly dog, who arrived today, too.



The two mice wanted to play – I am sure that we will have a funny time together!

Hello Mum. 

Today we went to the Landesgartenschau in Norderstedt. It is a kind of exhibition for plants.

Of course there were many plants – and I will show a lot to you.



I found this lovely heart. A nice man made it out of wood.

More nice flowers – and behind me you can see the church of the Landesgartenschau.



I loved this flower.



There were a lot of different chicken – they were so funny!





Then we made a rest and heart a choir – to tell the truth it was a very small choir, but I liked the music.



Later it was time to play on this funny sheep.

Hello Mum,

I am in Spain. Because the way from Germany to Spain is really long, we took the plane.



There were mountains to see.



We arrived in sunny Malaga and made a walk into the old town. I found a sunny place.



There were some nice buildings.



The cathedral was very big.



I thought about playing in this fountain, but decided not to do it.



This was the main shopping street. With enough shadow.



What a nice first day.

Hello Mum,

we made our holidays in Spain, but visited Great Britain today. Behind me you can see Gibraltar.



And when you look now behind me, you can see the coast of Africa. This was amazing!



This was the lighthouse of Gibraltar.



Here I am in front of the Street of Gibraltar.



There was a mosque near to the most southern Point of Gibraltar.

Hello from Spain again,

after leaving Gibraltar we saw this nice white village.



Then we arrived in Ronda. Here you see me in the oldest bullfighting arena in Spain.





I had a look, but fortunately there was no fight today, so we were able to take this nice photo.



Then we went to the old town of Ronda. Between the old part of Ronda and the new part there is a big bridge.



This is an old tower, but I don't know the name.



There is a monument in Ronda for the poor bulls, that had to fight here.



And a monument for the torero.



It was interesting, although I don't like the idea to kill bulls in that way.

Hello Mum,

we were travelling by bus - and we had our own seat!



The next place we visited was the royal riding school. The ground was wonderful with a nice fountain.



Then I saw the people training with the horses.



After the time with the horses, we visited a Sherry Bodega.



Here I sat in on a barrel.



There were many more barrels.

Hello Mum,

today we started to explore Sevilla. The first monument was the real Alcazar.



There were many interesting places inside the palace.





This room was really great with the wonderful ceiling.



At the end there were some ceramics on the wall. I liked this funny man...



Outside were wonderful gardens.







Then we left the palace - behind me you can see the cathedral.



Then we went inside. This is the huge golden altar.

We went onto the tower and had nice views of the city.



Before we drove back to the hotel we went into the old city.
