Travelog for: Herbert

Hi.

My name is Herbert.

I am a hippo.

I am from a country called Ikea. I was saved by scole from a large crate of hippos, elephants, lions, lizards and mice.



scole also saved two of my brothers, Horton and Chris.



It was very crowded and I'm glad to have escaped.

I will be traveling to Canada soon.

I went to scole's hockey scrimmage tonight, but didn't get any pictures there.



Afterwards we went to Brina's house and played with the kitty, Mike.

I arrived in Canada today. It was a 5 hour drive with no air condition. I've come with scole, Brina, and Pickles.

At the first rest stop. This is scole's favorite rest stop. It's in the center of both highways and you have to walk over top of the highway to get to it. Of course every McDonald's meal is over $6, but it's fun to walk over cars going 65-80 mph.

This nice man let us sit on him while scole went to get her money changed.

Finally, after getting lost for a while, we made it to the hotel.



I'll post again with pictures from the Hockey Hall of Fame and the CN Tower.

Today I visited the Hockey Hall of Fame and the CN Tower. Neither were too excited and scole and Brina said they weren't impressed. But I took pictures, nonetheless.

After those two trips, we just walked around Toronto. Met some ducks and a swan.

Today was the Toronto Zoo!



This is how I traveled every where.



On the way in, some little kid accused us of smuggling candy in! Haha, it was all in fun though... no one heard

I visited my family!









They were a lot bigger than I! I guess I have some growing to do!





The bears were nice too!



But the panthers were not so nice...




Met some elephants who were standing in a row.



And a giant lizard.



The snow leopards were cute.



And we met some other random animals who were just hanging out.

Tomorrow is the Toronto Island.

Today was a long walk along the Toronto Island. It was about 5km.



We saw random art.



And had a nice view of the city.

That's all the picture I have from the island. I could've swore there were more. But in the middle of the island was an amusement park with a petting zoo! Pickles got a picture we a really big pig!

And the last day spent in Canada was at Niagara Falls. It was an amazing experience and I'd love to go back as soon as possible.

The day started all wet and windy.

All day scole wanted to see a rainbow and one finally appeared!

After the Falls we started on our way home.



I got a picture with the Canadian border since I didn't get one on the way in.



And then we crossed the border home...




We paid our toll.



And made it to PA.

And just one day later I am on a new trip. I went with Brina and Pickles to Germany!

Finally we made it inside the plane!




During the flight, somewhere over the clouds.Wow!

After a long, long trip we made it back down to the ground. This time in Cologne, Germany.

I havent done anything interesting yet, but I got a new 'tag' for my necklace!


And Ive been to the ice rink where the Cologne sharks practice, but unfortunately I didnt get a picture.

I went to the Cologne zoo today. I had such a great day with all the animals! Unfortunately the battery from Brinas camera died and I only got 3 pics!

It doesnt look big, but it is!!


Penguins! One was really active and once he splashed the water so high, so we got wet!


Thats one of the most amazing things Ive ever seen! The elephants house! Its sooooo big and everybody can do whatever he wants! And they have three babies!


I saw a lot more animals! Alltogether a wonderfull day!

European money! Its so colorful! 20 Euro bill is missing, it is blue.

Back in Pittsburgh with scole.
