Travelog for: Fridolin

Today I´ve been the first time outside. I went with my host to her hometown Petzenkirchen.
The sun´s shining and so it can´t be a bad day! =)

Going to the zoo! =)

Today I made my first ride with a train. =) I drove with my Mum and my friend Paula to Vienna.
During the ride I could watch outside the window and see some landscapes of Austria. Especially the churches I really liked. =)



Here I´m and Paula - curiouse about our first time visiting Vienna. =)


In Vienna we went to the zoo! =) The zoo in Vienna´s very old - my mum told me - it was already found 1754 and´s now 254 years old! Even me - as a cat with seven lifes - can´t live that long!




There I  met some really big animals - you can see how little I´m against the hippos! =)



Oh I totally liked the polar bear - he was as lazy as me.. sleeping all day long! =)



Before we had to leave we found this great flamingo-statues. It would be greater to ride a real one, but I was to afraid to asked them, if they would let me ride and so I had to statisfied with them.

First time at a Sushi restaurant

Today I have been with my mum to a Sushi restaurant in Klosterneuburg. It´s the town, where the mum of my mum lives.. ; )
Sadly nobody really wanted to eat Sushi, they all got some special japanese or korean rice, noodles... And for me, because I´ve been knew - they ordered some Maki! =)
The problem´s that my mum forgot that I´m a cat and she ordered Maki with gherkin, because it´s her favorit, and not with fish!
Hopefully the next time I can try Maki or Sushi with fish! *yam*

Meeting Cats

Here I show you my best friend - the cat of my mum. She´s called Minka and´s already 13 years old.. you see - she´s a bit older than me! ; ) But I don´t care about that - she´s great and I spend a lot of time with her! =)



This weekend I stayed by some friends and they got two sweet kittens - they´re more my age! ; )

Going abroad

Do you know how cats behave, when they´re nervouse?
Well.. I`m behaving like that.. already since yesterday evening - I also slept quite weird, because I´m really curiouse of going away! Away from home - for the very first time! That sentence scares me a bit, but it´s also thrilling and that feeling has got the control!

So.. world.. I´m comming! =)

I've finally arrived at Lisbon

The weather is really hot here, but as I'm a cat, I can deal with it really nicely, eheh

Well, time to take a look around and see if my hostess provided me a good place to stay...

This guy's a bit weird...I start wondering what kind of people am I with 



Ahhh, but no doubt thus guys love cats!

Today I went to the Castle of Almourol and with me was Vladimir, Margarida and Migui+Gui.



Before going to the castle we went to a medieval bar for a drink:









The bar was really nice, it felt good to be there.

The castle is amazing, you should read about it in the website.
It is placed in the middle of the Tagus river.

A view over the 25th of April Bridge, in Lisbon.

Today is a warm day and I took the opportunity to go to a calm place, 2 hours from Lisbon, to relax and enjoy the Nature.



The place is called Barrage of Vale dos Gaios.
There was no one there, so I mounted my tend and spend the whole day enjoying the place, hearing the birds and bathing.



When the moon rose, I went back home.

Hello people!

I'm in Wales
Though the weather is not inviting me to go outside
It's very rainy and cold and, as you must know, cats dislike wet things.

So the only photo I could take so far was this one of the tower of the Cardiff castle.

Hopefully better days will come for me to go out =)

'Croeso' everyone!

('croeso' means 'welcome' in welsh language.See mum, I learned a new word in a different language )

Today I finally could meet properly the Cardiff Castle.



At the front door I found this typical english red bus:



Then I went in.



The castle is very well conserved.



And it has a big green area withing its walls.



In the middle we find The Keep, which is very old:







On the top of the Keep we have a nice view over the castle grounds:





Inside the Keep there isn't much to see:

A bit of history:



The Royal Welsh Regiment had goats as mascots.There is a museum in the castle about that.You can even have a virtual tour through the museum in the link above.

"Noswaith dda" (good evening in welsh)!

Today I walked around the city of Cardiff.

They have several churches like this one behind me, everywhere, but they're closed most of the times:



This is the beginning of Queen Street, the most famous street in Cardiff, because it is the main pedestrianised shopping street in the city.



This is the Rummer Tavern, one of the many typical british pubs around.This one is very old and Penvmbra loves to go there:



Look, I found some toys like me
Those are Welsh Dragons.



I also found the sheeps with black head and paws and white body.They're another symbol of Wales =)



Everywhere I could see victorian houses like this one.
Even my hostess lives in one of those:



And this is where Penvmbra studies: the school of computer science of Cardiff University (one of the best in the world )



As you can see, the main entrance is very beautiful, although the rest of the building has been modernized.

And that's all for today.

Hello!

Today I went to walk in the Bute Park, by the castle.

The park is huge, so I just saw a bit of it. Even though I found it amazing, calm and relaxing:

On the walls surrounding the park there are several statues of different animals, like this one:





Although the park is so big, i don't see any rubbish nor dog poo anywhere,which is awsome!
People here respect the parks



And guess what?There are LOTS of squirrels, eheh





But none wanted to play with me 

There is also a ring of stones (this celtic guys adore them, I think ):



And there are also other beautiful things to see in the park,but maybe in another day, because I'm already too tired to walk any further 



Hm...ok, I'll show you a bit more :P

It is Autumn in Cardiff
And it is sooooo cold

Today I'm going to show you 'who' lives with Penvmbra:

This is Hugo, a toy which were given to my host when she was still a baby.



This owl is made of welsh coal:



I found this egiptian black cat, but he's not much talkative, he's very concentraded on his job of holding incense sticks :P



This little fairy guards Penvmbra's bed =)
