I am leaving for the States!
Hi Mommy,
today, I left for the States.
I am going to Missouri, to visit Steph.
The other TVs all waved goodbye to me, and I am all excited about my coming adventures.

Today, we were woken up early by some men who were putting it Steph's new carpet. Emil, King Tut, and I were very eager to help! We hopped right in the tool box and got to work, too!
Here is the living room after we dragged the carpet pieces into the room and sort of placed them in the right place.
And this is the hallway with just the padding down. They had yet to put the carpet on top. Looks kind of weird, doesn't it?
Steph also got ANOTHER surprise today! She recieved a phone call from the pool company telling her that they would be able to put the liner into her pool today! I would have loved to help them, and may have been good use since I have wings, but King Tut said we must not get in the way, so this photo was taken from the window.
Once the workers went to get another load of water, however, we all went outside to get a good look at the pool. Looks refreshing, huh?
When we went back inside, we went back to work on the carpet. It took us a while, but we got it done. We even moved the furniture back for her! Here is the living room all finished.
And this was the hallway.
What do you think? Did we do a good job? I hope so! My little wings are very tired. I think I should just go rest them...

Hey Mom,
It's been pretty hot over here, but King Tut and I have been trying to stay cool. Lots of indoors time, though. Tonight, it cooled down and we were able to go out for a little walk. We found this nice little pond with a bunch of fish in it.
We also came across these nice flowers. Aren't they beautiful? I wanted to stay by them all night, but Steph started to call for us, so had to go back to her home.
When we arrived back home, Steph told us that we needed to make a dessert for an upcoming BBQ her family was holding tomorrow. We dug through her box of recipes and found one that looked very delicious. Brownie Cheesecake. I couldn't WAIT to stay baking!
We didn't have the time to make homemade brownies for the recipe, so instead we resulted to a boxed mix instead. They still turn out tasting good though, according to Steph. So, we poured the brownie mix into a bowl.
Then, we followed the directions on the box to make the brownies. We put in 1/3 cup of vegetable oil, a 1/4 cup of water, and cracked three eggs.
We used the hand mixer to speed up the time on mixing, otherwise the two of us may have been here all night!
Steph allowed King Tut and I to lick the whisks clean. We both had our own and, let me just tell you, Mom, brownie batter is delicious!
I got a little messy while eating and managed to get some of the batter on my right wing. King Tut tried to wipe it off for me, but it didn't come off completely. Knew I should've been careful. Oh well, it'll be a great way to remember the delicious batter.
Once we tried to clean me up, we had to pour the batter into a 13x9 inch pan. We spread it so that it was even, then placed it in the oven at 350°F for 20 minutes.
While the brownie baked, it was time to prepare the cheesecake. We put in four 8oz. packages of cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 3 eggs, and 1/2 cup of sour cream. Here is a photo of us adding in the sour cream, since we almost forgot all about it.
We used the hand mixer once again (after we cleaned it, of course) and mixed all the cheesecake ingredients together. I didn't try to lick the whisks this time, though. Did not want to end up with more on me.
Once the timer for the brownie went off, we poured the cheesecake mixture over the brownie. Now, it's ready to go in for 35 minutes.
After the 35 minutes was over, we removed the brownie cheesecake from the oven. It was smelling VERY good! There is some chocolate that goes on top of this, but we had to wait until it cools to do that. Since it was so late, we decided to just put the cheesecake into the fridge and call it a night. We would put the chocolate on in the morning.
Sorry about getting dirty, Mom! I'll be extra careful when I do the chocolate on top in the morning! Promise!

This morning, we got up early so we could prepare for this BBQ. We had to finish off our brownie cheesecake, so we did that first.
We got out three pieces of Baker's chocolate and placed them into a bowl. Then, we melted them using the microwave.
Once King Tut and I drizzled the chocolate over the brownie cheesebake, it was complete! TA DA!!
There was so much food at this BBQ! The first couple showed up two hours early, due to their long drive and not wanting to hit traffic. With them, they brought us some Rotel cheese dip! Wow! This was VERY delicious. They also brought a bag of tortilla chips to dip in it.
And here's all the food on the table! There was pork steaks, bratwursts, hamburgers, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, taco salad (it's a mixture that's made of taco meat, lettuce, Catalina dressing, and shredded cheese. SO good!), macaroni and cheese, and a type of taco dip that some lady brought. It had a layer of sour cream on the bottom, a layer of taco meat on that, then a layer of lettuce, a layer of shredded cheese, and topped with some chopped tomatos. It was excellent as well!
The food was great and the BBQ was a success! There wasn't much going on at the BBQ so I really didn't get into TOO much trouble. I'm really worn out from it, though, so I should probably go to bed. Night Mom!

Oh, yeah! Steph said we might be going out somewhere soon! I cannot wait!

Cape Girardeau, Missouri, USA - 12th September 2009

Hey Mom!
Sorry for the lack in updates! Steph has been very busy with school and hasn't had a lot of time to take King Tut and I anywhere. But, tonight, we got to get out and go to the SEMO District Fair! (SEMO stands for South-East Missouri, by the way )
Before we begin, Steph apologizes for the quality of some of the photos. They aren't too great because she took her ancient digital camera with us to the fair. So, we look very washed out in a few.
Here we are standing in front of the entrance banner.
And this is where the entrance of the rides and games was. We didn't really go over there, though. The rides are not actually the main event of the SEMO Fair, it is actually the livestock and the competitions they hold for them. All though, the rides did seem to look inviting.
There are many shows during the day time, but we missed those. We got to see a variety of animals the fair still had out, however.
We came across a petting zoo-like area first. At the very entrance was a section full of goats. If we spent $1, we received a small cup of feed to give to each type of animal. Very nice.
We had to read the sign on the goat pin and made very sure that we did not touch their horns.
In the next cage over, we found some very beautiful deer. Steph said she has never been this close to deer before, but they do go near her house a lot. I really thought they were gentle and sweet.
We also got to see a few Nilgai. They are native to India, so they've come a long way to live here in the United States!
We also got to meet a real Camel, too!
There was also a Llama....
And an Alpaca! Hey! I saw many teenage boys at the fair with haircuts JUST like his!
We also saw a few giant live turtles...
And some sort of large Cavy (None of us could remember the first part of the name, though. Just the 'Cavy' at the end).
But, before we left the petting area, we also got to see a few more goats. I think people in this country must really love goats or something.
This one got a little TOO close to me.
We also got to see your typical farm animal, the cow!
We also got to see plenty of large horses. These horses were far too big to ride, but were apparently bred to use in plowing. They seemed very sweet and we spent plenty of time just looking at how big they were. It was amazing, to be honest.
The final stop on our animal tour was the Birds and Rabbits section. We saw quite the hen and rooster.
And even a few turkeys as well!
We also got to see a unique looking kind called a Polish. They looked as though someone had glued a bunch of feathers on top their heads.
We also got to see the first place winning Rabbit. How cool to meet one of the winners!
As we were leaving, we had to go through food stand after food stand. I could not believe some of the things people eat here! They eat Deep-Fried Twinkies and Deep-Fried Snickers. Steph told us that the deep fried versions are usually only available at fairs and events like fairs, unless if you make them at home by dipping them in batter. I might have to try some sometime, but I didn't have any tonight.
We finished our night off at a little restaurant in Cape Girardeau called BG's Olde Tyme Deli. The food was rather delicious (we had to Chicken Club Platter) and the restaurant was decorated very nicely. On the menu, you can see a few old celebrities: Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, and Humphrey Bogart.
Well, Mom, I hope you enjoyed the animals! I know I did! I'm very tired now, though. That Chicken Club was VERY big and filling.
Love,
Wieka!

Hi mom!
Misa told us yesterday that we are going on a trip today but the destination is secure! She didn't tell us where we are going to! I am so excited!
We had to get up really early! At 4:10 am!
The only she told us is that we are going to travel there by train. This time like passengers and not with an engine driver
Here we are in train at out seats. We all were curiously craning our necks.
Our starting position was Praha Main Railway Station.

After about an hour of traveling we were in Pardubice - the city of ginger bread and horse races!
I thought this was the final destination of our trip but it wasn't. The train started moving again. We better sat on the comfortable seats.
