After the hike, we really needed to get some food..and Steph needed to buy herself a new pair of shoes since really didn't have any hiking shoes.
Once we got done with the shoe shopping, which didn't take long, we stopped at Steak n' Shake for a meal.
We had a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Milkshake, which was REALLY yummy! Milkshakes are my new favorite thing, now!
After a few moments, our food arrived to the car. We got a Frisco Melt. It's two steakburger patties, American and Swiss cheese, and Frisco sauce (it's made from French Dressing and 1000 Island Dressing) on a sourdough bread. We also HAD to get a cup of cheese for our fries! FAN-TASTIC!
I'm VERY tired, so I think I'm just going to go to bed. We might be going on another hike tomorrow if the weather allows it!
Love, SunnyHH

Hey Mom!
Well, it rained today, so another hike was out of the quesion, sadly. But, Steph still wanted to go do something, so we decided to go to a flea market!
But first, we had to stop by Sonic Drive-In for a sweet tea. Now, we are on our way!
Here I am with the Green's Flea Market sign, our destination. It's a little dinky place, but it sells pretty much anything you want for a very low price. There were about a million porcelain dolls sitting right when you first come in the door.
Steph wanted me to take a picture with this rattle snake, but I refused. She told me it wasn't real, but I didn't care! After that, I wouldn't let her take anymore photos, with or without me in the store..and she really wasn't supposed to, either.
We helped Steph pick out a few rugs for her house. They were only $1.50 each. Once we got them into the car, we promptly took a nap. Running from the snake was hard!
When we got back home, I met another one of Steph's cats. Her name was Gracie. We tried to take a nap with her, but she wasn't very welcoming.
Well, we are going to go listen to some music, Mom! We found all these cds! I can't wait!
Love,
SunnyHH

Hello Mom!
Today, Steph had to do some things at Mineral Area College, a local community college, so Emil and I decided we'd go with her! Here we are at the college's sign.
We waited in her purse while she filled out a few forms. We waited for atleast an hour before we finally got out and got some fresh air. We came across this fountain along the way. Very beautiful, don't you think? The campus was VERY nice.
On the way back to Steph's, we stopped at the old Blackwell Motors location. It is famous for it's REALLY large pink elephant mascot, and we got to see it! We also got to see an American flag elephant as well!
We also saw a gorilla, but I didn't want to get close to him! He had a shotgun and looked pretty angry. I didn't want to die.
Once we escaped the crazed Gorilla, we took off toward Steph's house, but first, we had to stop at The Family Center. It's a store that sells Farming supplies, clothing, and much much more! It's a really cool store.
Well, Mom! I'm really tired from my trip today! I think I may just take a nap! I love and miss you!

Hey Mom!
Steph told me that I'm going to be sent to Baiying in China! It sounds like a REALLY fun time and I can't wait! China...wow!
I told Emil and he was pretty sad, but he decided that we needed to have a lot of fun on my last night.
First, we wrote a sign in this scratch paper that Steph and her cousin bought the other night. It says "Emil & SunnyHH <3 Toyvoyagers (and you)". It was fun to write!
We settled down for a game of Uno. I lost the first hand, but redeemed myself in the second hand! It was great fun.
Afterwards, I took a cruise in the Mach 5 that I found lying on Steph's VCR. She said it's the case for the complete series of Speed Racer on DVD, but I found it as a better car than that.
We decided to chill for a bit infront of Steph's iPod. We listened to Steph's favorite band, McFly. They are from the UK and formed in 2004 and have since broke many records! Including having their first album debut at #1 in the UK album chart, which caused them to take the title from The Beatles as "the youngest band ever to have an album debut at #1".
This inspired me a bit to play Steph's guitar! So, I picked up the pick and away I went!
Afterward, it was definitely time for a snack! We had some Butterfinger Ice Cream Sandwich Cake and was it delicious!
It is made by taking a box of ice cream sandwiches and laying them in the bottom of the pan. Then, you warm up a jar of hot fudge and a jar of caramel and drizzle it over them. You take some whipped cream and spread it over all of it. Then, finally, you crush up two Butterfinger candy bars and sprinkle on top. Freeze and then eat!
Well, it's time to watch The Dark Knight with our ice cream!
I love you!

Beijing, China - 9th July 2009

Hi from China!
It was a long long journey, then. I counted the days by my fingers and toes but it was not enough! I had no idea what happened during these days, maybe the postman lost his way? Finally, today, when I heard a voice that called my name, I woke up and began to see hope! I almost broke into tears when I saw the first beam of light broke up the darkness of my envelope. It was soooo great back to the world~~~ And here is Beijing!
The first thing I need to do is to tell you, my dear mom, that I arrived safety here. And then, I am gonna start my big travel in Beijing! Before that, I will have a sweet sleep tonight.~~
Love you mom,
SunnyHH.

Beijing, China - 12th July 2009

Well, it was a little rainy today, a little gloomy, but We still went to visit the 4th China International Design&Art Fair according to plan. My host worked as an industrial designer and she must pay close attention to what just happened in the world of design. Following her, I have looked around the fair and have some fun.
What was going on?? I was wondering what were these potatos doing here among a lot of IT products. First I guess they were some kind of concept cellphone that had a strang potato shape. But finally I found out that this was something more interesting, something like a Public-service announcement, or a brand design, a brand owned by the native China famers. A Chinese design company named LKK just helped the famers to do widely publicized, such as beautiful logo and a special system of VI, so that the high-quality potatos they have planted with hard work would be known to a lot of people. we thought this would be a worthy cause that a design company could do. And now they started with the potatos, mayby in the future we will creat a fantastic carrot brand in the world!
Phillipe Stark! A very famous designer! And I am on his head!
Love,
SunnyHH

Beijing, China - 26th July 2009
By: whatif
After a week of silence, let's go back to last Saturday...
A lot of stories happened to me during this week you cannot imagine what adventures were they.
That was a happy Saturday dinner with Whatif and her best friend Shuo. It was the very first time I tasted the well-known Chinese hotpot, named "LittleSheep". And I was sooo excited about that!
When the waiter put the hotpot on our table, I could not hesitate to see what happened in the hotpot, and followed the delicious smells, I ran close to it, but... too much closer I thoutht... It was too late when Whatif found me and try to stopped me from doing that. Because the hot air emited from the hole of the hotpot had already burned one of my big ear...
I looked at my ear, a small piece of it turned to black. Then, Whatif began to comfort me and told me that I was a brave TV with great curiosity. And told me that when she was a twe years little girl, she burned her finger when she touch a cigar lighter, wanting to know what was it, just like me. Things like that always happen to adventurers like us.
As for my compensation, they allowed me to eat up all the food!! I thought it was worthy, right?
