Base Camp, Singapore - 6th July 2009
By: redchook
Greetings earthlings!
My mentor recently stumbled upon ToyVoyagers and decided to help me along my journey so I can report all my findings back home.
I've been living amongst you for 61 years, but I was only taken into the care of my mentor 6 years ago in 2003. Ever since then, I've enjoyed a good life, hanging out with her in Singapore, and watching out for intruders.
I first came to Earth to destroy it (because it was blocking my view of Venus!) however, over time I discovered that Earth actually had a lot to offer and was in fact, more gorgeous than Venus. Since then, I've been sending reports back home to assure my fellow Martians that Earth is in fact, quite cool.
After spending all this time with my mentor, we both agreed that I'm now ready to visit the other continents and take heaps of pictures of interesting and exciting spots all around the world.
If you would like to help me on my journey, please PM my mentor so she can set the coordinates on my rocket and direct me to you.
For additional details, be sure to check out my profile.
Hope to see all of you soon!

Base Camp, Singapore - 7th July 2009

Greetings earthlings!
I was really excited when my mentor told me that a couple of people have already offered to host me. She says that I'll be visiting 2 cities in Germany so we're hoping I'll be able to speak some German phrases by the time I get back. There are still some visa matters we have to settle with the Martian Department of Immigration, and because us Martians are slow workers, I'm predicting that I can only leave at the end of the month.
Last night, my mentor got me to pose for a few pictures because she wanted to create some stickers to give to my hosts as a token of appreciation. Posing for her was extremely tiring. Who knew being a model was such hard work?! Anyway, here are a couple of pictures that she'll be using. Be sure to let me know what you think.
Talk to you again real soon!

Base Camp, Singapore - 12th July 2009

Greetings earthlings!
Yes, I'm still at Base Camp. My mentor (let's call her The Chook from now on) tells me I can't go on my voyage until the stickers arrive. As I mentioned in my last post, she's creating some stickers so she can give them to my hosts. Apparently, they're still being printed and will only arrive sometime after July 20th. In the meantime, I've been looking after The Chook's pet fish, Troy.
As you can see, he's rather unexciting.
On Friday night, The Chook and her friends took me to a karaoke place where we felt obliged to have a mini Michael Jackson tribute before diving into our RockFest where we paid homage to bands like Aerosmith, Oasis, No Doubt and Stereophonics among others. It was a fun-filled night and I had a great time laughing at The Chook and her friends as they tried desperately to channel their inner Rock divas. LOL. Humans.
Let the Karaoke begin.
The Chook probably wouldn't admit it, but I know I did a good job with "Ben". MJ would be proud.
My beer of choice.
