Here I am, ready to go to Canada! Thank you Finland! Bye bye!

Here I am in Calgary Alberta Canada.  There's snow here too.

See the snow....


Havn't done much yet because it's been so cold.  But I've been having fun playing video games.


And they have 4 cats to play with.

She didn't seem too happy.

We're planning some special trips in the future.

This weekend we traveled from Calgary to Medicine Hat.  Medicine Hat is a smaller city about 3 hours away from Calgary. They were having a Roller Derby bout where Calgary's Cut Throat Car Hops were playing against Medicine Hat's Gas City Rollers.  My host had to go because Medicine Hat is her home town and where her best friend lives.

We road the Greyhound bus. It was easier and safer because the roads are snowy and bad for driving.

They were going so fast it was hard to get a pictures.....but who really wanted to take pictures.  I wanted to watch the bout.


The Car Hops ended up beating the Gas City Rollers 150 to 122.  It was such a great game!

Here I am on the bus back to Calgary...

Today we went to the Calgary Tower.  To get there we had to take the c-train....

The train wasn't too busy.


The Tower is really tall....it's 626 feet tall.

The elevator up had a poster with more information...


On of the best parts of the Calgary Tower is the Glass Floor....


Here are more buildings from downtown Calgary...


This is the newest building called the Bow...named after the river that goes through the city...

The Bow will be the tallest building in Calgary at 810 feet tall.

You can see for miles.....


Behind me you can see the Saddledome....where the Calgary Flames Play and many music concerts play.  Also can see the Stampede Grounds where the Calgary Stampede is set up every July.


Everyone looks like ants....


Downstairs in the tower there was a Beaver Dressed as a Mountie...


And a Bear Dressed as a Mountie....


Couldn't pass up a picture with a Dinosaur too....



You couldn't tell by the pictures that 3 days ago was the first day of spring....it keeps snowing.

Went to work with eeyore_witch. She works in a Drug Store that sells much more then medication. It's a 24 hour store that never closes.

I had a makeover in the beauty boutique....


We stopped to have some lunch....


At the end of our shift we start to count all the tils for the day and put new ones for the overnight.

It was a long but fun night. I met so many nice people.

We decided to head to the mountains and check out Banff.  At first we weren't sure if we should go. Within the city and right outside the roads were bad. you couldn't see right in front of the car....


But it cleared up as we kept going...




We stopped at a gas station and got more pictures....



We drove up the mountain and took a few pictures....



We also learned some stuff about Sulfur Mountain ...


We stopped to check out the gift shop and eeyore_witch found some postcards.  The bathroom had a waterfall in it....


We found the Ice Explorer. It's a huge bus with special wheel to take tourists in to the mountains for tours....



Can you imagine living in Banff looking at these mountains everyday. We can see the mountains in Calgary but they aren't this close.

We went to the Titanic Exhibit but we weren't allowed to take pictures.

So we went to a set of statues call the The Famous Five or The Valiant Five....






In 1929, Emily Murphy, Henrietta Muir Edwards, Louise McKinney, Irene Parlby, and Nellie McClung fought for the recognition of women as persons under the British North America Act. Canadian women born before 1929 were considered by law to be "non-persons." There, the Famous 5 won their case and on October 18, 1929, Canadian women were legally declared "persons" and eligible for appointment to the Senate.

Well it's time...I'm going to Singapore next!!

I was on my way to the next place but got sent back to Calgary Canada just in time to go to the Glenbow Museum.

This is from the "Treasures of the Mineral World" Part.
Glenbow's mineralogy exhibition, Treasures of the Mineral World, offers a colourful glimpse into the depth and diversity found in the mineral world. Where Symbols Meet: A Celebration of West African Achievement explores how achievement is recognized and rewarded in five major cultural groups from over a dozen West African countries.

In addition to an orientation area which offers an introduction to the land and peoples of West Africa, the exhibition is divided into four major sections: Community, Diviners, Rulers, and Artists.











This is a kewl part about Warriors....
Almost every society has engaged in warfare at some time during its history. Warriors: A Global Journey Through Five Centuries compares cultural approaches to war and to the people who do the fighting. First Nations of the Plains, Maoris, Samurai, Medieval Europeans, and contemporary society are featured in this eclectic and stimulating presentation.

There's a large part of the museum dedicated to the first people in Canada....the Blackfoot Indians.

I'm so glad to be back briefly for this trip to the Glewbow Museum.

Hello friends,

I am back home – I was so happy to see my Mum again.



I met some guys from Norway and we talked a lot.



Then I met Fiete – another ToyVoyager of my Mum. He is at home at the moment, too. So we were able to tell us all about our trips to foreign countries.



Now I will rest a bit – and maybe start to travel again next year.
