Eskbank, Lothian, Scotland - 17th August 2009

By: twennifer

Today I went with Jennifer, her family and the other TVs to Eskbank, outside Edinburgh to meet Jennifer's friends for the day.  The journey was pretty long but we all had fun when we got there!
We played on the trampoline...

He was very small & cute, but looks pretty violent in this picture.  I promise he wasn't Mum, he was very nice!  (:

Lundin Links, Fife, Scotland - 20th August 2009

By: twennifer

This evening, Jennifer's Dad (Neil) came to show Misty, Emil and I what he works as.  Neil is a Paramedic, and today he was driving the RRU, Rapid Response Unit.  It goes faster than a traditional Ambulance but he can't take patients in it.  His job is mainly to go to serious accidents or people who are very very ill, because he can get there a lot quicker than the Ambulance crew can.
Before he came to the house he had been at a car crash in Lundin Links, very close to our house and the main road has been closed so there is a lot of traffic coming along this street now.
Here we TV's are sitting beside the blue lights on the roof of the vehicle...

But then Neil recieved an emergency call to a village nearby and he had to drive away very fast so, our photo session had to end,

Braemar, Scotland - 5th September 2009

By: twennifer

I've had such an exciting weekend Mum!  I even saw the Queen of the United Kingdom!  (:
Jennifer took us TVs to Braemar, where she was doing a hill race at The Braemar Gathering.  Braemar Gathering is a Highland Games that takes place here in Scotland.  At the Games, many sporting events take place in a big arena filled with between 4000 and 5000 people, including the Royal Family, so it's a very special occasion and a big honor to be a competitor in one of the events.  Jennifer was 5th in her Hill Race and recieved a standing ovation from the 4000 people in the stadium which made her a little emotional and very happy, so us TVs had to calm her down a bit!
Here are some of the photos from the weekend;
One of the main attractions here are the Pipe Bands, they are made up of Bagpipes, a traditional Scottish instrument and Drums.  Here we all are checking out one of the many Pipe Bands present at Braemar Gathering,

Because the Queen was there, there were a lot of Uniformed Police Officers, undercover Police and the Army were there too.  Here is part of the Army, they were all carrying guns to protect the Queen;

Talking of the Queen, here we are waving to her as she left the games, she was in this car along with Prince Philip & The Duke of Edinburgh...

It was very difficult to get a close up photo as cameras near the Queen were banned due to security reasons, but here is a photo of the Queen being presented with flowers by on of the Highland Dancers,

All in all a very exciting weekend,
Willy xxx
