Mission, BC, Canada - 25th April 2010

By: AbbyB

Did you know that BC has its own Westminster Abbey?  It is nowhere near as grand as the one in England, but it is on top of a hill overlooking a valley and has a very interesting looking tower.

This is the church portion and the tower.

Vancouver, BC, Canada - 30th April 2010

By: AbbyB

Granville Island is a downtown hot spot for local artists, and a very nice place to visit (It is also not a real island, but shhh!)

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/April-30-2010-002.jpg

Grnaville Island overlooks False Creek (it is an inlet).  In the distance you can see the Burrard St Bridge, which is in the art deco style.

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/April-30-2010-004.jpg

the most popular place to visit is the market.

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/April-30-2010-003.jpg

It is full of places to eat, local foods, crafts, cheeses, candy, flowers and many more things.

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/April-30-2010-006.jpg

We stopped for lunch and I decided on Indian food.

Harrison Hot Springs, BC, Canada - 9th May 2010

By: AbbyB

Harrison is a very pretty town in the Fraser Valley and it is on the shores of Harrison Lake.

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-004.jpg

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-005.jpg

Harrison is known for its hot springs.  I was not there to use the springs, but I was interested in where the springs originate.  To find it we had to walk around one side of the lake.

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-007.jpg

There was a new trail, but we decided to take the old one, because it looked more interesting.

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-010.jpg

Can you see those boards nailed to the tree?  Powerlines once ran along the trail.

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-011.jpg

This is the view into the forest.  It is very West Coast.

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-019.jpg

I saw this old water tower...

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-008.jpg

And went to have a closer look.  You can't really tell in the photo, but it was leaking hot water and there was steam coming out of the top.

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-013.jpg

There were many large rocks lying around and some of them are so old that the trees have grown around them!

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-021.jpg

Finally we came to the source.  There used to be a bath house here, but it burned down.

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-022.jpg

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-024.jpg

This is the view from here.

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-023.jpg

The water inside the monument.

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-025.jpg

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-026.jpg

This pool was next to the monument and it was full of warm water.  Can you see the steam?

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-027.jpg

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-9-2010-028.jpg

Afterwards, I stopped for gelato.

Abby's car is very dirty, so we decided to help her clean it.

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-15-2010-002.jpg

I got the water ready.

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-15-2010-003.jpg

Um, I think these mitts are too big...

http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/abbystoyvoyagers/Nasse/May-15-2010-001.jpg

On second thought, this looks like a big job.  We'll just...supervise...

Bangkok, Thailand - 26th May 2010

By: chekunn

Hi MOM!!

I already arrived Bangkok, Thailand  :D. The weather here is very hot. Prim just introduced me to some for her toys, hope that we can be good friends during my visit here.

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/IMG_0691-1.jpg

Then, I met Prim's son - Muk - 15 years old dog. It's almost midnight, so he is sleeping. Actually Prim said he always sleeps and eats  B)

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/26052010279.jpg

Now it's time to go to bed. Here is my bed...not bad :D

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/IMG_0724.jpg

Prim said I can go to her office tomorrow but not sure if she will have time to show me around since she is very busy right now.

Good night mom...I think I have jet lag

Bangkok, Thailand - 27th May 2010

By: chekunn

Hi Mom,

Today I went to office with Prim. Before we left, we said good bye to Muk.

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/27052010280.jpg

There are a lot of plants in the house  :) Prim's grandma is taking care of them. I think I will walk around the house later.

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/27052010282.jpg

It's almost 11am, but the traffic was still bad. When a car stopped, I had a chance to take some photos.

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/27052010283.jpg

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/27052010284.jpg

Prim was very busy at the office. She put me on a chair, so I can watch she worked.

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/27052010286-1.jpg

Her desk was very messy >,<

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/27052010285-1.jpg

Here is a view from 22nd floor  B)

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/27052010287.jpg

WOW!! I saw myself and others Winnie the Pooh. I'm famous here.

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/27052010288.jpg

It's time to go home.

Take care..mom~~

Bangkok, Thailand - 28th May 2010

By: chekunn

Halooo mummie~~

Today is Visakhapuja Day. People always go to temples but not Prim. Prim needed to pick her friend at the hospital, so we left home early.

Quote:
Visakhapuja Day is one of the most important days in Buddhism because of three important incidents in the life of The Buddha, i.e. the birth, the enlightenment and the passing away, miraculously fall on the same month and date. This day reminds Buddhists the important of Lord Buddha's teachings, both spiritually and socially.
Visakhapuja Day is recognized by the UNESCO in December 1999 as "World Heritage Day".

We drove thru small tunnels. The traffic was good today because it's holiday morning.

I took a nap while waiting.

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/28052010309.jpg

We took the express way going back.

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/28052010314.jpg

In the afternoon, we went to a Thai restaurant.

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/28052010318.jpg

The menu is so big!!

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/28052010322.jpg

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/28052010321.jpg

I was not hungry, so I just played outside.

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/28052010323.jpg

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/28052010324.jpg

Hi mom,

Late night, Prim's big mama bought her something....he's funny face friend named...MuKu (Prim said it's from her dog's name - Muk). We took a picture together. Prim told me she will bring MuKu with me when going out, I'm so happy because I'm not alone anymore :D

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/IMG_0743.jpg

Behind me is the scene coming from MuKu's box.

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/IMG_0750.jpg

Prim is trying to practice her photoshop, so she asked us to be models.

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/IMG_0761-1.jpg

This evening, Prim took me and MuKu to a Vietnamese restaurant.

http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac180/chekunn/30052010377-1.jpg

We found many Suvarnabhumi's Giants...maybe about eight, I took photos with some of them.

Before going home, we dropped at McDonald's and played with Ronald McDonald.

Where am I?? :D

Today Prim had a early meeting so I stayed at home. After work, Prim bought me a club sandwich from Au Pon Pain.

While I was eating, I noticed something was staring at me. It's Devil Muk 555. He wanted to join our meal.
