Travelog for: Fibro Duck

Grand Junction, CO, USA - 3rd April 2010

By: wourpet

I have arrived in Colorado USA finally!  When I got here and got unpacked I met some TVs that live here.  Picado is a really experienced world traveler and has over 62882.28 miles (101199.22 Km) and when he saw my Smarties he said 'You've been to Canada" and then he showed me some he got their last year when he was there.

It was a cool day when I arrived and Picado introduced me to another duck - his name is Lucky-Ducky.  We went outside and found some flowers and then I showed them my book and the neat stuff I did in Canada.

They read the papers on Fibromyalgia too.

Chicago, USA - 8th April 2010

By: wourpet

On my first trip to DC we flew from Grand Junction to Denver - to Chicago and to DC.  I had lots of fun on the trip to Chicago.

We started at the Airport in Grand Junction really really really early in the morning.

http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r285/wourpet/Travel%20Toys/100_8634.jpg

I had a window seat and was going to watch the mountains but there were lots of clouds.

http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r285/wourpet/Travel%20Toys/100_8636.jpg

In Denver there were a lot more people in the airport but Wourpet and Picado looked after me.  Picado is a real world traveler.

Soon we were on the plane and it was very fun.  We had a TV on the back of the seat with a map to watch us flying.

http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r285/wourpet/Travel%20Toys/100_8651.jpg

and other things about our trip.

My travel buddy Picado explained some of it to me.

http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r285/wourpet/Travel%20Toys/100_8657.jpg

It showed when we were close to Chicago and I knew we would land soon.

And here I am in the O'Hare airport - talk about a busy place!

Washington, DC, USA - 9th April 2010

By: wourpet

We finally made it to DC at 10:30 at night.  It was a very long day but we are in a different time zone too.

Wourpet surprised me and we did not go to a hotel.  Instead we took a cab and got out in front of a MUSEUM.

The cab driver did not think we should stay there but Wourpet told all of us that this is where we would be spending the next 2 nights.  IN A MUSEUM!!

I guess she knew what she was talking about and soon she was unlocking the door and we went inside.  It was a beautiful place called the DACOR Bacon House.  DACOR stands for Diplomat and Consular officers retired.  There were furniture and things from allover the world in here.

and there were lots of books and albums

Wourpet told us we would be sleeping in Chief Justice Marshall's old bedroom so I read some books about him to.

In the morning I went to the Whitehouse and to all the memorials along the Mall.  Here I am in front of the Washington Monument.

Washington, DC, USA - 31st August 2010

By: wourpet

Picado was very excited when he went to climb into the travel bag and discovered I was already there.

http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r285/wourpet/Travel%20Toys/100_8629.jpg

I got to go with Wourpet and Picado to Washington DC for a very special meeting and dinner.

We stayed at the Fairfax on Embassy Row and it was really neat.  While Wourpet was at the dinner with the ambassadors and other guests the maid came into the room and tucked us in.  She even turned on some soft music.

http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r285/wourpet/Travel%20Toys/100_8755.jpg

After she left we got up and played on the bed until Wourpet came back.

http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r285/wourpet/Travel%20Toys/100_8756.jpg

We flew to lots of different airports on the way home.

St. Petersburg, Russia - 22nd October 2011

By: katyakatya

Hi! Mommy drakie, don't worry, I'm having fun here! I have made some new friends: ThomasHH and Mr SmileyCheeks (he  lives here and he is looking for a host anywhere in the world because he wants to travel like I do).

We like to sneak into the fridge and look for midnight snacks! I hope I don't get too fat to fly =D

http://s017.radikal.ru/i403/1110/d3/d86f34befd89.jpg

Also, I like to play hide & seek with the other ducks. Find me!

And I've met the puppy!

Our host Katya says St. Petersburg is a really beautiful city and she is going to take me and ThomasHH sightseeing soon. Also, we are very excited because we may get to go to an exibit of Leonardo da Vinci's works!
Can't wait till it snows here, we must go sledging and have a snowball fight and build a fortress!
