Vääksy, Finland - 29th December 2009
By: sirkku-susanna
Hello!
I arrived here to Finland just in time for Christmas. My host Susanna was very happy, that I was able to spend holidays with them. We decided to get to know each other and spend holidays relaxing, so that's why I didn't update my travellog, not until now.
You can see me with Susanna's Christmas tree. It's a real spruce. My host loves the smell of the real tree, but not so much of needles drop from the tree
And here's one picture of me with big Christmas gnome. He was very friedly. And then Susanna took me outside to see their Christmas lanterns. Here in Finland is real winter now lots of snow and about from -5 to -25 degrees cold. Susanna promise we do a trip to snowy forest some day soon. Until then...
Take care!
Yours; Dodger

Vääksy, Finland - 18th January 2010

Hi there!
We have been very busy here, me and my host. My host have been preparing to start her new studies. And of course I helped. Last weekend we travelled to Seinäjoki together. My host Susanna will go there at least once a month to study. It takes three hours to travel there by train. Susanna remembered to take me with her, but forgot to take her camera. Well next time I will make sure that she takes her camera, so you can see some pictures from Seinäjoki.
When we came back Saturday night we both were very tired. Sunday we decided to take long walk and relax. In pictures you can see how beautiful it is now with all that snow.

Hello Hello!
Last weekend me and my host Susanna were at Seinäjoki again. And this time Susanna remember to took her camera too. We walked from railway station to Susanna's school. Those big buildings you see behind me are Seinäjoki University of applied Science.
And we crossed the bridge over Seinäjoki river. If you translate it directly it means wall river. Quite funny, I think. It was early in the morning, so picture is little bit dark. Sorry!
And we have whole hotel room just for a two of us. So see how big bed I have for me. We have very nice time. Although Susanna have to study for whole weekend.

Helloooooo,
I arrived safely, this is when Camila opened my package
As soon as I got out I met my new friend Droopy and Mickey Mouse!!! he is really funny, but a bit scared of becaming a TV!
And I met another monkey, he is pretty tall!!!
This is a dreamcatcher, "it's a native american object that's used as a charm to protect sleeping children from nightmares. As dreamcatchers are made of willow and sinew, they are not meant to last forever but are intended to dry out and collapse as the child enters the age of adulthood." Wikipedia.
Camila also has a lot of books, that's one of her hobbies.
That's what we can see through Camila's window, it's night, so we can't see much!
Camila didn't had much time to go out with me, she is working a lot, but saturday we are going on a road trip. Hope we take a lot of pictures!
Bye bye
