Remscheid, Germany - 12th July 2010
By: olgamaus
Hi Mummy,
I think you wonder what I am doing in North Rhine-Westphalia?
I am invited on a holiday trip with olgamaus' sister Ina. She will take me to ... oh, I forgot where she will take me. Some country in Southern Europe ... it begins with a "P" and it has a coastline.
Here at olgamaus' home I was welcomed by Tochi, Rafael, Squirt and Gunter Dagli. camilla also arrived today. She came here from the USA.
Tomorrow I will meet olgamaus' sister.
Bye

Hi Mummy,
those delicious shortcrust cookies are called „Bolacha Hungara“, They are filled with strawberry cream and dipped into chocolate. Yummy!
I also liked the chocolate muffins, and I had a coke in a beer glass.

Péra, Portugal - 23rd July 2010
By: olgamaus
Hi Mummy,
we visited the Fiesa sand sculptures festival.
FIESA is a mega exhibition of sand sculptures held since 2003 in Pêra, Algarve, that in each new edition is dedicated to a different theme. The festival is unique in the Iberian Peninsula and is considered the largest sand sculpture festival in the world, by the size of its sculptures and the area they occupy.
This years theme of inspiration is the LIVING WORLD, the fauna and flora of the five continents, since prehistory to the present day.

Cabo de Sao Vicente, Portugal - 24th July 2010
By: olgamaus
Hi Mummy,
we went to Cabo de Sao Vicente today, the southwesternmost point in Portugal.
According to legend, the name of this cape is linked to the story of a martyred fourth-century Iberian deacon St. Vincent whose body was brought ashore here. A shrine was erected over his grave.

Algar seco / Carvoeiro, Portugal - 24th July 2010
By: olgamaus
We also visited the grotto labyrinth of Algar seco today, about 2 km east of Carvoeiro. We took a photo here with my friends Fluffy the bear, Schnubipu the beaver and Tochi.
Later, when we drove to Carvoeiro, I saw this bench, ornated with Azulejo tiles.
