Hallo! My name  is Dieter and I am a German polar bear. My hometown is Cologne (Köln), Germany and I would like to share with you some of my earliest memories.

Every year in Köln there are the beautiful Christmas markets (Weihnachtsmarkts) all over the city. Here I am at the Altmarkt.


Here I am underneath the mistletoe waiting for a kiss!




This year my good friend JP wanted to put up a Christmas tree in his apartment. We went out to the market, chose a tree and then set it up at home to decorate.


And here I am at the fantastic Christmas market that is next to the Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom).

Today I went to the Medieval Christmas market in Cologne. It was very quaint and lovely. There were musicians and medieval inspired food like meat cooked on sticks.




There are freshly roasted chestnuts and hand-woven baskets.


There is a free shuttle that drives between the Christmas markets. I wanted to ride on it but JP said it's only for tourists!


Afterwards we went for a walk along the river by the old town.
