On the ferry, Hong Kong - 13th September 2010
By: vivyanhui
I travelled the ferry from Central to Tsim Sha Tsui,
I took the ferry at Pier No.7, the lower deck.
There's a token selling machine.
I think I am the first elephant who travel the ferry!!
Really enjoy the breeze and the view of Victoria Harbour~~

Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong - 14th September 2010
By: vivyanhui
Last time when I was at Central Pier,
I saw these two buildings very far away,
and this time I am next to them~
They are the Clock Tower,
it's part of the former train terminal,
now the terminal was moved and it remains at its location.
Next to it is the Hong Kong Cultural Centre,
withe their special shape/ outlook and historic background,
both of them are the landmark of Tsim Sha Tsui.
Here you can enjoy the great view of the Victoria Harbour too.

Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong - 15th September 2010
By: vivyanhui
It's almost time for celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival,
it's also known as mooncake festival.
A themed lantern decoration was set in the Clock Tower piazza,
the theme is the daily lives of Hong Kongers in 70's.
There are local style milk tea, pineapple bun, hopscotch, aeroplane chess,
bird cage, neon light signage, red market light, roadside restaurant,
rickshaw, police in old uniform, the green rubbish monster, comics and so on.
Rabbit is one of the main charaters in the Mid-Autumn tales,
so there's a huge rabbit shaped lantern.

Hong Kong Art Museum, Hong Kong - 16th September 2010
By: vivyanhui
We are playing around on a sculpture in the Art Museum.
The sculpture is ver big and with all strange patterns on it.
These patterns are actually inspired by the ancient chinese words of early times.
The words at that time were like shaps and drawings.
The one I am standing on is the word of horse,
but it's in an old style of writing, usually seen in chinese calligraphy,
it looks this way nowadays:
And behind us is the Space Museum,
it has an uncommon shape, just like an egg~

Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong - 19th September 2010
By: vivyanhui
It is an exhibition called "Legendary Mongolia" at Cultural Centre.
There's a big yurt, the home of Mongolian,
as they are nomads, they used this kind of portable house,
which is felt-covered, with wood lattice-framed dwelling structure.
There's also a mongolian sheep!
I hurried on to it to have a ride!
I think no other elephant can ride on a sheep like me~
Inside the yurt, some mongolian clothes were displayed,
the brown one is a water bottle~
On the other side,
I saw the most important musical instruments of the Mongolian people.
The Morin Khuur, a string instrutment fiddles with a horse's head.
There are some legends of the origin of the Morin Khuur,
you can take a look and hear its sound here.

Nathan Road, Hong Kong - 20th September 2010
By: vivyanhui
Here I am on a double deck bus, and front row!
The bus passes through the first road of Kowloon, Nathan Road,
it's the first, and so as the longest straight road in Hong Kong.
Here in Hong Kong, hills are more than flat land,
so it's not easy to have such a long straight road~
Another funny things is, you can see many neon shop signs along the road.
They are huge too.
At the end of the day, I took bus home too.

Hong Kong, Hong Kong - 22nd September 2010
By: vivyanhui
Today we found a nice box in the kitchen.
All of us have no idea of what it is,
so we opened it to see what's inside.
And we found, mooncakes~
It's Mid-Autumn Festival today,
a festival for enjoying the moon together.
There are lanterns decorations everywhere too~
