Hi, Mummy! I have just arrived Hong Kong!

Hong Kong is a very small city but still is divided into 3 parts —
New Territories, Kowloon and Hong Kong Island.
I am now living in the New Territories.


Poopbear hugged me warmly.
He is not exactly a toy voyager.
Since he is too huge in size,
my current host Selina does not let him travel.


We had conveyor sushi for dinner tonight.
Although it is in Japanese style,
Hong Kong is actually a please where different styles of food can be easily found.

I am cool in Hong Kong.

Hi, mummy!
My host Selina and I went to Tsim Sha Tsui Today.
Tsim Sha Tsui is a part of Kowloon.
It is the major tourist hub in Hong Kong.


I went there by Mass Transit Railway (MTR).
MTR is a rapid transit railway system in Hong Kong.


It was my first time to take MTR! So excited!


We had Japanese style barbecue for lunch.
The lunch set includes sashimi, saland, miso soup, pork, beef, chicken, steamed Egg custard and rice.

We went to Harbor City after lunch.
It is a super large shopping mall in Hong Kong.


I met Totoro from the anime “My Neighbor Totoro”,
and also Jiji the cat from the anime “Kiki’s Delivery Service”.


Then we went to Toys"R"Us, the US chain toy store.
We found Thomas there!


We decided to go back home by star ferry.
Surprisingly, we saw a super huge egg tart when we went to the ferry pier!
Egg tart is a very local and traditional food in Hong Kong.
It is sweet but not exactly a kind of dessert.
Hong Kong people usually have it for afternoon tea time.


The green one is the star ferry pier.


Star Ferry is a kind of very local and traditional transportation.
It carries passengers across Victoria Harbour, between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.


We could see the Clock Tower and Hong Kong Cultural Centre on the  ferry!
(Hong Kong Cultural Centre is the building behind the Clock Tower.)
People can enjoy different shows like drama and music performance there.

I have tried liquid nitrogen ice cream with my host Selina and her friends.
This is my host's very first time to try liquid nitrogen ice cream. So excited!


This is my host's ice cream. Toffee flavor.
This cup of ice cream is very creamy and tasty!


This is my host's friend’s choice. Strawberry flavor.
This flavor is a little bit sour.

Hi mummy!
I had some Taiwanese food for lunch with my host Selina today.
I realize that I always have non-Hong Kong style food in Hong Kong. ;P


This is Taiwanese noodles.
My host think this is similar to Hong Kong’s fake shark’s fin soup.


These are Taiwanese fried dumplings.
My host's favorite.

Hi mummy! My host Selina has joined a study tour so she brought me along. We visited Beijing!


We first went to the Tiananmen Square.

We visited the National Museum of China also, which is just next to the Tiananmen Square.


My host was not interested in it but this museum was actually helping me to know a little more about China.

We had Beijing style roasted duck and other delicious Chinese dishes for lunch.


We visited the Temple of Heaven after lunch.


"Wikipedia: The Temple of Heaven, literally the Altar of Heaven is a complex of religious buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing."

Finally, we went to Tianjin by China Railway High-speed (CRH).


We only spent 30 minutes to go to Tianjin from Beijing. So fast!

Hi Mummy!

After visiting Beijing, I went to Tianjin.


I first went to Nankai University to take a lesson.
It was sooooo boring. ;(


Then I visited the museum of Tianjin Textile.
Tianjin Textile is a large corporation in China.
The museum shows the history of  Tianjin Textile and some old sewing machines.


After that, I visited Tianjin Ancient Culture Street.
This is a copy of ancient Chinese market. Quite beautiful.

Wikipedia: Tianjin Ancient Culture Street was opened on New Year´s Day in 1986, the overall construction has the folk architectural style of Qing dynasty, with Tin Hau (Matsu Temple) located in the centre of the whole street. There are nearly hundreds of stores along the street, among them Yangliuqing painting gallery and painted clay sculpture of Clay Figure Zhang are most famous.


These rice cakes are famous snack in there.
I do not like them as they are too sweet.


These are fried dough twist (mahua),
another famous snack in there.
Although they are broken, still very yummy.

Another day having a class in Nankai University.
Really boring.


I had a nice lunch. A little bit spicy but tasty.


Visited the manufactory of Master Kong.
Master Kong is a very big brand in China.
It mainly produces instant noodles and drinks.


Actually, I did not listen to the lady who introduced the manufactory.
I spent my time with my host Selina.






Free drinks were available.


This is Tianjin style pancake or a kind of taco. It is called jian bing guo zi in Chinese.


People usually have it for breakfast but I had it at night.
It is very tasty. Love it so much.

As usual, I took a lesson in Nankai University before lunch.
But this time, I had tasty goubuli the bun for lunch! Happy!


I visited the old house of the Shi famaly.


The Shi family was very rich.
Therefore, it is a very typical traditional Chinese house of a rich family.

I returned to Hong Kong on 15th and 16th.


I have tried Hong Kong style breakfast.
This is macaroni with ham.


A bun, deep fried fillet, fried egg.


My host Selina and I went to the Peak.


Hong Kong is very famous for its night view.
It is ranked as the third beautiful night view in the world.


However, we visited there in the afternoon.
I had no chance to enjoy the night view.


There are so many skyscrapers in Hong Kong.


I also visited the legislative council of Hong Kong.


It is a new one so it is big and beautiful.

Hi Mum,
I have arrived here in Australia and I am here just in time to say goodbye to the WotWots as they are off to Germany, here I am with Mr Shaun, Suomi-boy, The WotWots, Sidney and Little Squirt.

Today we visited a friend of Sue's and had a chat to her dogs - it was hard to sit up on the slippery couch! 

The dogs are mum and daughter, Jasmine and Misty.

We are taking the dog for a walk in the park today


behind me are the soccer fields....and on the top of the hill in the background is the street I am staying in!
