Travelog for: _Mishuta_

A new tv arrived: Stoker from Germany! He is a very nice guy and he likes Kuromi-chan and me, too .

LIGHT, CAMERA, ACTION!
We spent a great day at the Filmpark in Babelsberg. There were many things to see. At first we went to a restaurant which looked very medieval. We could even sit on a throne! Then we had a look at a cowboy town and watched a stunt show. We also visited "Panama", a place which is described in a children's book by Janosch. It was so nice there . Now I know why the tiger and the bear in this book wanted to find this place . Overall in the Filmpark there were statues of filmscenes. We saw the for example "Münchhausen". You can read something about him on the last picture.

Hello Mum,
today Stoker, Kuromi-chan and I visited the zoo in Leipzig. After one and a half our by train we finally arrived at the central railway station. From there we took the tram to the zoo.
We saw different animals like monkeys, zebras, meerkats, turtles, elephants and many more as you can see. We also visited "Gondwanaland", a big Tropical Hall. Inside I felt like I was in a real rainforest! Doesn't it look great?

Hi Mummy,
Stoker and I visited a Trümmerberg (mountain of rubble) together with Marie and her family. It is called like this because it consists of debris from World War II. Now everything is covered with plants and we took a little walk.
On our way we collected many elderberries, you can see them on the fifth photo. At home we made soup out of them, I liked it very much .

Today is our last day together because tomorrow Kuromi-chan and I will travel to our next hosts. So we made a little farewell dinner: "Crostini"- slices of baguette with tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, basil and olive oil. At first we cut the baguette. Then we cut the tomatoes and mixed them with the other ingredients. When we were ready we put the mixture on the baguette slices. The dinner was sooo good .

Hi Mum!

Well, here I am back in the UK! I'm very excited to be here again, as it's a great place.  I had lots of fun at my last host though and was sad to leave. I have lots of great memories though.

And this is me with Krumelknirps. He's another ToyVoyager who's from Germany. I'm sure we will have a great time together.



Anyway, I'd better go as I'm very tired after all that travelling.

I slept really well last night and woke up ready for a day exploring my new host's house!

Look at that climbing frame! It looks like so much fun! I can't wait to play on it with my host brother and sister.

Hello Mum!

Just thought I'd show you some photos of me playing today.

My host brother and sister made a rocket in the garden. We went right up to the moon!



And then I had a ride with Noddy. We went pretty fast, but I held on tightly.



My host mum said I can help cook dinner tomorrow

Hi Mum,

Today I went into the garden and picked some runnerbeans for dinner. Here I am climbing up to reach them:



And I saw a spider too!



Then we went inside and prepared them:



We were so hungry, we forgot to take a photo of the actual meal  but never mind. Host mum loves cooking and she said I can help her prepare lots more meals. This time we had sausages, runnerbeans, carrots, mashed potato and cauliflower from my host mum's parents' allotment. Oh and onion gravy too. It was very yummy!

I'm really excited as we're going to the zoo at the weekend. I can't wait to see all the animals. I've seen so many animals on my travels, it's been amazing.

Hi Mum,

Well, I've had such a fun but exhausting day at Colchester Zoo! It was soooo hot

We saw lots and lots of animals. Here we are at an enclosure with the zebras, rhinos, giraffes and ostriches. It's a good photo of Krumelknirps and I, but the zebra and rhino didn't come out too well!



The ostriches were really big and the giraffes kept coming over to us eating the leaves.

I also watched a sealion show which was lots of fun. They were called Milan and Atlanta but I can't remember the third one's name.



I had a look through these binoculars as well. We tried to spot some birds and butterflies, but I couldn't see any...



And we also measured ourselves against an elephant footprint! Look, they're huge!



We had a picnic too and played on an adventure playground. We went on a train as well. Host mum wanted to take more photos but she was very busy running after my host brother and sister!

Hi Mum!

I helped to make a cake today. It was a coffee cake and was so delicious that I managed to get into the fridge when no-one was looking...



When hostmum found me I was soooo cold  she wrapped me up in a warm towel:

I helped wash up as well and was exhausted by the end of it!



I'm glad I got to help make and eat a cake

Hi Mum!

Just a quick update to show you where I hid during a game of hide and seek...



My host brother and sister didn't find me for 3 hours! I think I should have found somewhere easier for them to reach

Hey Mom!

Today I helped to make dinner again. This is me with the ingredients for sticky chicken:



You need 4tbsp of sweet chilli sauce, 2 tsp of soy sauce, zest of 1 lime, 8 chicken drumsticks and 1 tsp of grated fresh root ginger (but we didn't have any this time).

I did some measuring...



And some grating...



This is me putting the chicken in the marinade:



Then we left it in the fridge for a couple of hours before putting in the oven on 190 degrees for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes I poured the rest of the marinade over the chicken and cooked it for another 5 minutes.

And here I am about to eat it!



It was delicious! You should definitely try and make it Mom!

Hi Mum,

Just thought I'd show you how I spent my Saturday...

Host mum did some tutoring in the morning, so we all sat and watched and learnt lots of interesting things!



I can't remember if I told you that a new TV, Kathy, arrived the other day? We all get on very well 

Then we had some lunch:



These were really nice! If you want to make them, then just put a slice of ham in a wrap, add some grated cheese and some roasted  peppers from a jar, roll up in silverfoil and put in the oven for 10 - 15 minutes on 180 degrees C. I'm definitely going to make them again!

In the afternoon, Host dad went to collect a VW campervan. We haven't had a chance to explore it yet, but we're going to soon and I'll show you some photos.

Tomorrow we're going to a craft fair. I'm very excited!
