Hi!

Today BubbleGum, Luisa and I played a fun card game called Kittens in a Blender.  It looks like a fun game, as long as we don't have to put real kittens in a real blender.  I like kittens!



The blue kittens are mine of course.  I have to get them all safe in the box and keep them out of the blender.  The other color kittens can go to the blender, but not mine!



I blended the kittens.  Two of Luisa's kittens are gone, and I saved two of mine!



Oh No!  BubbleGum blended one of my kittens!



BubbleGum won the game!  Luisa and I are congratulating him.  It was a good game and lots of fun!



Note: no kittens were harmed in the making of this post!

A little bunny in the big city!

Hi!

Today we went to Minneapolis!  To get there, we rode the Light Rail Train.  I got a good seat.



On the train we drove past the Metrodome.  It is the home of the Vikings, an American Football team.



When we got there, we took a nice long walk to look at all the very tall buildings.



Some of the buildings look like they are all glass.  They are so shiny in the sun.  You can also see the Foshay Tower, an old building here.  I believe it is a hotel.



There are many skyways here.  It makes it easy for people to get from one building to another.  I bet it's really nice during the winter.



This is Minneapolis City Hall.  I think it looks like a castle.  It's HUGE!



This skyscraper is round at the top.  Very cool!



When we were all tired out and done walking, we took the train back home.  What a fun day!

Hello Mum!

Today we visited the Mall of America here in Minnesota.  This place is HUGE!  It is so big that there is an amusement park inside the mall.  It's called Nickelodeon Universe.  It looks like fun!



Underneath the Mall there is a giant aquarium full of fish, sharks and turtles.



The Rainforest Cafe looked very cool.  In the restaurant, they have lots of animal statues.  Every 30 minutes, they shut off the lights and have a thunderstorm and the apes go crazy!  It was very noisy.



After all that walking around, we decided to stop for a break.  This bench is a model of the bench from the movie Forrest Gump.



I had a great time today.

Today is the Summer Solstice.  It is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.  I was really hoping to go out and enjoy some of the sun, but it rained all afternoon.  It's still raining now.

I did sneak outside for a few minutes to watch the sunset.  It was just to pretty to miss!

Hi Mum!

July 4th is America's Independence Day.  A lot of people celebrate by watching fireworks.  Even though we are in the middle of a heat wave, we decided to venture out and watch some too.

My host won some tickets to ride the Fireworks Train.  First a scenic train ride, than fireworks!



It's still very hot, but the train ride was fun!  With the windows open, we could cool down a little.  So many trees!  The conductor had to stop the train once to move a tree that fell on the tracks.



Here we are relaxing on our blanket waiting for the sky to get dark.  The sun has finally gone down, and it is cooling off a little.



Getting dark!  My blue glow stick makes it easy to find me in the dark.  The wait is almost over!  Look at all the people who came out to see the fireworks.



The tree blocked out view a little, but the fireworks were amazing! 



After the fireworks, we took the train back.  It stayed very hot all night, but it was a wonderful adventure.

Hi Mum!

Today was the first day of our road trip!  We had to make it shorter than we planned, but I am still hoping to see lots of new places.

Our first stop was in a small town called Merrill.  We stopped at the park to get out of the car for a while.

This park is very pretty, with lots of green growing things and little streams. 



I'm not sure the name of this river, but I really like the stone bridge.



This tiny waterfall was very cool.  Above it, we saw quite a few crayfish.  They look like baby lobsters!



I heard a rumor of a 100 year old snapping turtle that lives in this area.  I looked all over, but I couldn't find him.  I'm not sure if I really wanted to find him.  They snap!



Can't wait to see where we go next!

Hello!

Today I am in Green Bay, Wisconsin!  It is the home of the Green Bay Packers - an American Football team.

Check out this statue I found when we were shopping downtown.



After shopping, we had some time to wait.  We headed to a park to play in the shade.  After a bit, lots of kids showed up and I made lots of new friends!



Finally, I got to go to Lambeau Field.  This is where the Green Bay Packers play their home games.  It's HUGE!



We had to walk to the other side to get in.  They have lots of entrances, but only this one was open today.



Unfortunately, since there was no game today, we were unable to go see the field.  Right behind me is where they practice.  I wonder if that's a player in the parking lot!



Green Bay was lots of fun.  Now I go back to the car, and I think we are heading north!

This is very cool!  Right now, I am Half Way North!  That is exactly half way between the Equator and the North Pole.  Very Cool!

Hi again!

I am traveling with a little black dog named Charly_Palmero.  He wants to visit all the states in the USA and get pictures with all the state line signs.  I'm not sure I really need pictures with ALL the signs, but I decided to join in on the fun for this trip!

We went just a little bit into Michigan.  We stopped in a town called Iron Mountain for some drinks and more shopping.



That was the turning point in our trip.  Now it is time to start going home.  Back through Wisconsin!

On the way home, we drove through the Nicolet National Forest.  I think it's so nice to get away from all the noise of the city.  Here it is so peaceful!



Now we go home.  We drove almost 800 miles in just 2 days, and I really need some time out of the car!

Hello!

Today I met some new animal friends.

This is Oliver.  He's a Shih Tzu Bichon dog.  He just likes to relax.



This is Puzzles.  He's a rat.  He was very excited to see me.  I think he wanted to keep me.  I had to make a run for it when he tried to pull me into his cage.



His brother Slinky was a little more relaxed.  He just wanted to know if I had any snacks for him.



Lots of new friends!

Hi!

Tonight, we are in St Paul.  We had plans to leave the city to see the Perseid Meteor Shower at it's peak, but the clouds blocked the view.

We stayed in the city and took a late night walk.  It was a very nice night.  I really like all the city lights.



This cute little water fountain made a great place to rest and enjoy the city.



They put fun things in the windows here!  This is a Charlie Brown Statue.  I hear they have many statues of many different Peanuts characters in this city.  This one is called "Fire & Ice."



In another window, I found snowman enjoying the summer sun!  He looks very happy.



Before we headed home, we stopped by Mears Park.  Its a beautiful park with a stream that runs though it.  They turn off the waterfalls this late at night, so we missed that.



Wow!  I am so tired!  Good Night!

I have something really embarrassing to tell you.  Maybe you noticed in the pictures from last night.  I got dirty...

I was sneaking around in the kitchen, and I found a chocolate bar.  I thought I could have a bite or two and no one would notice.  Somehow, I got chocolate on my ears.

I was very sad, but today I get to take a bath and clean up!

I took off my beautiful scarf.  Luckily, that didn't get chocolate on it.  I really like the carrot soap.  Perfect for me!



I was a little afraid of getting wet, but I really wanted to be clean again.



It was fun playing in the water.  Now I just need to dry off and make sure all the chocolate is gone.



So sorry for getting dirty.  At least the chocolate was good!

Good Morning!

This morning, we decided to make sugar cookies for breakfast.  What tasty fun!  My new friend bolly and my old friend Charly_Palmero where very excited to help.



Rolling out the dough was hard work, and I think we all got a little bit of flour on us.



I choose a horse shaped cookie for me.  They didn't have a bunny shaped cookie cutter.  I wanted the biggest cookie I could make. 



Now the cookies are ready to go in the oven.



While the cookies baked, my friends cleaned up the mess while I hunted for some sugar sprinkles to decorate the cookies with.  I only found green sugar sprinkles, and some rainbow candy ones.



So pretty...



And tasty too!  This is what I want for breakfast every day!



I wish I could send one home to you, but I think we ate them all!

Today we took a car ride to Duluth.  We didn't get to spend much time there, but we did stop by the beach.

The big lake behind me is Lake Superior.  It's so big that we couldn't see the other side!
