After noticing how pretty the frost looked on the back porch, host mom gathered up Nolan and the other TVs to take to the park for a photoshoot of the frost and the river, before she had to go to work.

Exploration Place, Wichita, KS, USA - 19th November 2011

The host family was sure excited today, they said it was National Adoption Day! They loaded into the car and drove to Exploration Place, where they played and played until it was time to go in a big room and talk to the judge. Then, they signed paperwork and everyone was so happy that they went and played some more. What an awesome day!

Host mom was cooking delicious things this morning and told Nolan he could help with the chocolate pie! She said that today is Thanksgiving, when Americans gather with loved ones to share a feast and reflect on the things they are grateful for. Host mom told him that one thing she is really grateful for is to have a good job at a time when the economy is so difficult.

After a delicious Thanksgiving meal, host mom and some of the kids went for a hike, to find a cemetery that is about 200 years old. They had to climb over barbed wire fences and through a forest of thorny trees. But, they saw beautiful scenery along the way!
