Heyyyy Mommy.
This morning Verena and her mom were very busy getting everything ready for our journey to Belgium. *3Euro* and me really were bored for some time, so we checked out the kitchen here. We found out the the Easter decoration is pretty cool to have some fun with lol
*3Euro* wanted to make an easter egg out of me so he hung me into between the other easter eggs on the branches. You know he is a monkey and so good in climbing. Luckily he helped back down, as I honestly was a little scared up there.
And yes yes you allready saw it. I have a tshirt. *3Euro* borrowed me one of his clothes, till I have some own. It looks great isn't it?


*3Euro* is really a little wild one. He is making fun all the day. So we sat on this nice sheeps as well. Cute hm?


And in this egg as well. Aren't we a sweet surprise egg?


Then it was time to get in the car to start the 5 hours trip to Belgium.
Albert surely was with us and we were safely strapped all together in the car.


We had a stop in the netherlands, at some gas station to eat some sandwiches. They tastet so wonderful fresh. But the gas was expensive here 1,87€ for one liter super.


When we arrived we were all so tired. Albert crawled in bed, beside Verena. And *3Euro* and I had shared *3Euros* little bed on the table beside Verenas bed. I was happy I didn't have to sleep alone, as I am a little scared of this new house.



As far as I can say its nice here in Belgium and I say "dag" to you which means "bye" in dutch. Verena teached me.

Hoi Mommy. I am allready a dutch bear as you can read...Hoi means hello in dutch.

Today we were in Lier. Thats a little city close to Antwerpen here in Belgium. Here you can see me and *3Euro* in front of the townhall from Lier. They are working on the court here thats why there is a fence.

We went to a nice cafe with the name "Bakker thijs". Bakker means baker. We had something called "Lierse Vlaaike". Its kind of a little cake typical for this city. It tasted a little like gingerbread.
Verena searched the recipe for you on the internet, if you maybe wanna try it at home...I would appreciate it, as it really was delicious.



The recipe of "Lierse Vlaaikes"

Ingredients:

1 litre (4-1/8 cups) water
500 grams (18 ounces) butter
1700 grams (60 ounces) flour

For the Filling:

2200 grams (78 ounces) breadcrumbs
1650 mls (3 cups) light corn syrup
4 litres (4-1/4 quarts) milk
400 grams (14 ounces) flour
200 grams (7 ounces) four spice powder

Instructions:

In the mixer combine butter, flour and water to make dough. Let rest
and then roll out to 2.5mm (1/8 inch) thickness. Press in little forms
(such as mini-muffin tins) and let rest again for 15 minutes pressing
it a bit more.

Mix the milk and syrup and stir well. Add the rest of the ingredients.
Leave the filling for at least 3 hours; then place in a piping bag to
fill the bottoms.

Preheat oven to 190°C / 375°F. Bake until brown; let cool and invert.

Notes: Four Spice Powder was usually equal quantities of powdered cinnamon,
ground coriander, white pepper and nutmeg or cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and
black pepper.

On the French side of Belgium they might use 1 tablespoon white pepper,
freshly ground, Rounded 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves, 1 teaspoon ground
ginger and 1 teaspoon nutmeg, freshly grated.

The recipe for “Four Spice Powder” is really up to the individual baker.
You do not have to use equal amounts of any spice; simply blend the spices
in amounts to your liking.

For sweetness this recipe uses corn syrup such as Karo brand. Some recipes
us honey or combinations of sweetner.

Water: If your tap water is not very good... use bottled water; it really
makes a difference.[/color]

Hey sweet mommy. I am so sorry that I didnt write to you for such a long time. But my hostmom Verena has problems with her hamster. He is sick and loosing his fur.
We have been with him at the doctor twice, and now he is hopefully on a good way. Me and 3*Euro have been very lovely and very patient all these days. It was raining anyway, so we couldn't really go outside.
But yesterday it was sunny and so Verena showed us the old castle in her hometown called "Burg Sehusa". Today the building is used as a court.









Today is saturday. And Verena and her mom usually go to the supermarket to buy some stuff for the week.
Today Verena surprised us when she came back home.
She said for all our patience and lovelyness the last weeks we deserve a gift.
You know there is the European Soccer Championchip in Poland and Ukraine this year.
And they sell an album now in the shops to collect stickers from the german national team.
Its from the company ferrero and the best is you have to eat chocolate to collect the stickers.
Verena bought the album and a big package with 18 chocolate bars. Its soooooooooooooooooooo super cool!
3*Euro and I couldnt wait to test it as you can see in the pictures.













It is so much fun and we were so proud to stick our first sticker into the album. It wasn't easy as the album is very big and our hands so small, but with teamwork we found the right page. And with a little help from Verena the sticker found the right place.

Host mommy held us back from eating all the chocolates at once.
She said it won't be too good for our stomaches and if we eat one every day, we will have more fun for a longer time.

It must be cool to be such a famous soccer player, the pictures in the album make me wanna try to play soccer. Maybe I can become a famous player in the teddybear national team

Dear Mommy
I hope you have a nice holiday now in the first May. We really enjoy it here. Today I am such a happy little bear. Hostmom Verena got me a great gift, for my future travelings.
She made me a little sleeping bag in purple....sooooo nice.
With the button I can also use it as a bag for all my precious stuff :-)
I am so proud and I guess I will have the most nice dreams inside of it!
I kissed her cheek to say thanks!

She really tries her best to make us happy, after she didn't have so much time the last weeks. She told me she is afraid because we are the first guests she is hosting, and she doesn't wanna make a bad impression!

Hey dear mommy
I know you didnt hear from me since long time. Verena has some problems over here but you should know she is taking care the best way she can.
Today we had to say goodbye to my friend 3 Euro.
I helped him packing his stuff, but it was very sad.


I will miss him. He said I can keep his tshirt so I will remember him always.

Now its only me and big teddy albert....do you allready know how long I will stay here? So we can plan some things?

Hello Mommy

Its very silent here since 3*Euro left us. But yesterday we had a noisy evening as it was the first game for germany for the European Championship this year.
Verena made a little flag fitting my tiny paws...Looks great hm?
When Gomez made the goal I was so happy that I felt into the Popcorn bucket lol....
Verena quickly made the picture.....
