Travelog for: MokoMoko

Hi! I was here so long time ago. And we have so many photos of our travelling, that today we decided to post some of them. Because it is already February and my travelog freezed a little without me and Mommy. So last time I showed the first part of our trip to Swallow's nest castle. Today I'll show the second one.

As I said, then we went to Yalta. It is one our favourite cities in Crimea. And that day it wasn't an exclusion. First of all we met this elegant lady with flowers:



She was very pretty! Then we rested a little. And had a lunch.





After that we walked to the sea-front.

The beach was empty.



Mouse tried to become sunburnt. There was no big effect, I think. But I didn't want to disappoint him and didn't say it aloud.

In the evening only we came back home. And I was very tired. I even couldnt help Mommy to pack our suitcases and just looked over the room searching something interesting. Honey maybe.. Who knowns, what you can find in your own room after long absence!

These pictures we found once in a flea market. It was very hard to choose one of them and we bought both, honestly Mom just didn't want to separate these kittens. It was her whim.

All my friends are here. It's a pity - they can be with us now, but in the future, when we will have our own house, we will be all together. I hope.



Finally all preparations were finished...



...and Bingo! I found a pack with Tatar sugar. And again I was the lukiest bear in the room!

That was our last day in Crimea in 2011. We visited again our Granny and her farm. They decorated a New Year tree and Granny cooked very very delicious dinner. It was sad to leave them and all nice cats, dogs, cows and others.

NEW YEAR Part 1!
It's never late to remember some great time. So this New Year was exactly like this time.

29th Dec. Me and Mouse decorated our mini NY tree.



I like this toy elephant.





The tree was ready! We did a good work, Mom said.





I like NY trees. They are always so bright and when you see them - holiday mood is guaranteed!



While Mouse was busy with all these NY chores, I noticed a big orange. Ownerless and lonely orange!



"Poor fellow!"- I thought - "You will feel more cozy in my tummy!"





But it was very hard to peel orange. And then I rolled down and heard how all bursted out laughing.



Mom promised to help with an orange later and gave me a chocolate. And you know what? It was not worser than that orange. Not at all! Sugar and cocoa-beans are the great force, whatever you may say!





Then we looked over the NY mail.





And all postcards were very nice!

NEW YEAR Part 2!
Last day of this YEAR! So important day. But we had time to finish all our arrangements and were ready! Hurray!!!
Actually we celebrate New Year 2 times always. Russian and Ukrainian, because of different time zones. So we saw Russian President's congratulations too.

NEW YEAR Part 3!
In the morning we woke up and opened our presents.  Many-many candies and chocolates. I was sooo happy. January the 1st is cool!



Then I noticed something near our little NY tree.. ''What is that?" - I thought... 



It looked like it was specially for me, I knew!



hmmmm...



And it was a nose!!! New nose, new nose!!! 



It was my biggiest dream - to have a new nose! After a honey paradise, of course. 



Lalala lalala! My nose was great! And fit me perfectly! Lalala lalala!



Nevertheless New Year is the fairiest time of a year! When even your secret dreams can come true!

Hello! Today was the last day of the Maslenitca week. And there were many festivals with music, dances, songs and with pancakes certainly. Pancakes with jam and honey, I want to note. Many, many pancakes.... 



We went to the Expocenter, where was one of this day festivals.



There are many beautiful buildings here, sculptures, bas-reliefs and other architectural beauty things, that names I don't know. Yet.

Good day!
Today we got a lot of surprises!



One postcrossing card and a big envelope from our home town.



Very unusual card, as for me.. But Mom likes those.



Honey and candies patrol at work.



But there were not sweets.



Just very jelly-like stickers with dolphins and stars. It was not bad, until Mom forbade me to eat them, even to try to!



So nice card with a bear, I really liked it! It looks like me, doesn't it?



The card with all symbols of our home town. Haven't heard that pies and patties are symbols too.. But I have nothing against it.



Oh! I didn't tell you. Recently we began to collect stamps. Because we found old Grandpa's album of stamps and noticed so many empty pages in it. We decided to continue Grandpa's work. And now we fill it when have some stamps.





At this time we already had almost all of these stamps in album. I glued just one.



We decided to put aside the rest of new stamps. Maybe for swap, if somebody likes them.



I want to show some of our stamps. This is our favourite stamp from the UK.

Hi, guys! This day we prepared for Easter. It was very interesting for me. And tasty!

At first we cooked Easter cake! Hard job. But it was worth of it! And then eggs! To boil and to colour. Two our cook missions. Very serious.

Uffff! I was so tired. Then we coloured eggs. And everything was ready at last!



Next morning! It was a wonderful picture!!! We did it! The first time, but we tried very hard! And our festive food turned out to be good!

Hi! I quite forgot to show a couple of photos of our walk to the Golden Gate. It is very old construction in Kiev. Actually it is a historic gateway in the ancient city fortress. Now it's a museum. I don't know why 'Golden'. Maybe because it was 'a major landmark of the Ancient Kiev', as Wiki says.

Hello! This day we went for a walk to the Olimpic Stadium. Today was a match between England and Italy, so there were so many fans here. We walked over the central streets and watched everything. It was almost night, so we didn't do many photos, but believe me - it was very fun, loud and wonderful night!

Hello! We are in our homecity again!!! I'm very happy to see all our relatives and friends! And, I know, Mom is too. Today was a big festival, because it was our city's birthday. We didn't take many photos unfortunately. But believe me it was so fun here!

Hi, guys! Today we had a picnic. It was very sunny day and therefore our mood was very very good too!

So fine! 



We cooked meat with vegetables on fire. Mmmmmmm omnomnom! 



River. It was not very wide but fairly deep.



Meadows with wonderful flowers were everywhere. Did you know that our water-meadows are very famous in our country? Cows like them very much and all dairy products here are very special and have a peculiar taste. Believe me it's true.

My old friend Nikita. Do you remember him? He was very happy to be there too. And while we were cooking, he swam in the river independently.

Then I decided to follow my friend.



I've never swum before. And firstly felt not as confident, as Nikita.

..I understood what to do. And it was so cool! Amazing feelings.

Hello! I don't know maybe somebody watched my travels and noticed that we've already disappeared for several months. Maybe nobody. It's hard to have a contact without a "Comment" button. Nevertheless I hurry to fill up a blank in my story. So let's go!

This was wonderful, amazing and.. and.. in a few words it was cool day! We visited really fantastic place - Spas Kamennyi Island. Where one of the ancient monasteries of Russian north is situated. You can see a little video about it here, if you want - https://vimeo.com/36558035.

But at first we arrived to a little city Ustye, where was a big festival of a Boat. There was a big fun fair there. You could see (and buy) various folk arts things there and even try some traditional meals like a Tsar's porridge with cloudberries for example.

As it was the Day of a Boat, all kinds of boats were there.

Then we stopped to have a break and eat something. That's when I tried porridge with cloudberries. Very tasty!

Finally we departed to our main point.





Mouse and me took a nap in the sun.





Day was great. So sunny!







At last we arrived!



We found a well here. Water was uncommon and tasty.



Also we met this big white practically bear.





We spent on the island two hours. We listened a story about the monastery, got up to the bell tower and had a look at monastic economy. It was very interesting to know so exciting and a little sad things. And we met wonderful people, they live here and try to restore this ancient monastery by their own strength.

It was dreary to leave this amazing place.
