Hello there!
I'm still in home with mommy. I was little dirty so I took a bath.
Now I'm outside, waiting to dry. I hope someone will take me on a trip soon!

Pretoria, South Africa - 4th November 2011

Katara and her husband went to Centurion Mall late this afternoon and they took me along. We did some window shopping - I spotted a bright red sports car in one of the shops and decided to take it for a test drive
Later on we had dinner at Cafe Bugatti - a restaurant at Centurion Mall. Katara told me that they had a BIG SURPRISE for me. I was very curious and excited. She told me that Tuesday evening we will be flying down to Cape Town for 2 days. I couldn't believe it!! I am really really looking forward to it!

Pretoria, South Africa - 8th November 2011
By: Katara
Hi Mom!
I'm in CAPE TOWN!
It's just a short trip - and we'll only stay for 2 days, but the cool
thing is that I might see a little bit of the city!
Cape Town is 1 700km (approximately 1000 miles) from Pretoria.
Fortunately we flew down so it only took 2 hours.
Cape Town (Afrikaans: Kaapstad; Xhosa: iKapa) is the second-most populous city in South Africa.
As the seat of the National Parliament, it is also the legislative capital of the country.
The city is famous for its harbour as well as its natural setting in the Cape floral kingdom,
including such well-known landmarks as Table Mountain and Cape Point. Cape Town is also Africa's most popular tourist destination.
We took some photos at O.R. Tambo International Airport and in the plane.

Cape Town, South Africa - 9th November 2011

Mom, we are staying in a 4-star guest house called Dunkley House
The room is very comfortable and our one door opens onto the swimming pool.
We are going to be spending the day lazying around at the guest house as Katara's husband will be attending a conference today.
But we will definitely be doing some sight-seeing tomorrow - weather permitting.

Hout Bay, South Africa - 9th November 2011
By: Katara
Tonight we went to Mariner's Wharf in Hout Bay. It was a scenic drive but unfortunately it rained most of the way. I also caught a glimpse of Table Mountain and of the ocean! The interior of the restaurant is decorated to look like an old ship. We enjoyed some seafood for dinner.

Hi mom!
Today we went sight-seeing!
Part 1:
First we went to Table Mountain. It is a significant tourist attraction, with many visitors using the cableway or hiking to the top. The mountain forms part of the Table Mountain National Park.

Part 2:
We walked around at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront which is
situated at the foot of Table Mountain, and in the heart of Cape Town’s working harbour. The waterfront is really beautiful! There are many shops and restaurants and even a shopping mall!
Marty and I have become very good friends! It's nice having a ToyVoyager friend. Together we are exploring South Africa!

Part 3:
In the first photo you can see Robben Island in the background. It is a UN World Heritage Site.
All the other photos were taken along the way.
I really enjoyed seeing Cape Town! It was a great experience!
Tonight we will fly back to Pretoria.
Over and out,
Mo xxx

Hi Mom!
Tonight we ate some spicy Butternut soup that Katara prepared for us.
She added some ground ginger, curry powder and a little dash of Tabasco sauce. Once the soup was plated, Katara crumbled some Feta cheese into the soup. It was really nice!It left a warm feeling in my throat, but fortunately it didn't burn too much
Lots of love,
Mo xxx
