Home, Bremen, Germany - 31st October 2011

By: juls

Hey guys!
This is my last day at home.
Tomorrow I'll be on my way to Mexico to meet heynizajude
I am very much looking forward to see her and stay with her for a little.
This is so exciting.

It is strangely warm for this time of the year. You can see all the beautiful autumn leaves.
I was hoping to see the first snow before I leave, but maybe somewhere else.

By the by: I am still looking for someone to spend Christmas with (it is one of my life missions). Maybe you can help?

Mexico city, Mexico - 23rd November 2011

By: heynizajude

Hey mum! (:
Today we went around the city again and this were the adventures of the day:

Me at alameda central, one of the very important streets of the city, you can see the melia hotel on the left, the national lottery building on the right, the fountain and the monument to the mexican revolution on the back

We passed by the fountain of abundance that is outside of the national lottery building

Since 20 of november is the anniversary of mexican revolution and this sunday it was extra special because it was the 100 anniversary of the ending of it we went to the monument to the mexican revolution!
We were supposed to go up but when we got there Niza realized she forgot her student card so we couldn't go up ): however she promissed friday we will!

Here's the street towards the square of the republic (where the monument is) you can see the mexican flags and palm trees! (:

This is the sculpture of "el caballito" or the little horse which is modern, the side view is better but since they're doing work on the street we couldn't stand there to take pictures

When we arrived home we found another fellow german tv! her name is Entchen

Send you a hug!

And we got to go up! it was incredibly exciting because we could see how big the city really is!

The entrance

Right under the elevator that took us up and has a height of 52 meters!

Going up on the elevator!!!

When we reached the very top

One of the amazing views of the city

Another a level lower

Group picture!

We also took a look on this telescope

It was real fun! and the views were completely amazing!

Mexico city, Mexico - 9th December 2011

By: heynizajude

Hi mom (:
Niza apologizes for not making any updates, but this days have been a little bit crazy, anyways on wednesday last week we got to go to Mexico city's museum night!
It was pretty fun!

We started at the MUNAL (national museum of art)

With one of the photos there

This was part of the promo for the 1986 worldcup in Mexico!

The beautiful staircase

The inside patio of the MUNAL!

There was a Picasso expo!

We also went to "El estanquillo" museum, the ceiling was beautiful!

With this cartoon figurines of former mexican presidents

Sorry about the photo quality but we were not allowed to use flash ): and also we didn't took a lot of photos because we had to get moving fast!

This week also we cooked pasta!!!
Here's us with the empty ingredients, we should take the photo when everything was still there but we forgot

Cooking the pasta

And the sauce...

Ready for the feast!
Barry & Schnappi already had cloths to cover them from getting dirty so Niza made me, Lou & Entchen napkin bibs! (:

And we did a little toast with this delicious fruit wine, don't worry I just had a little bit ;)

Well that's all for now, hope you had a nice weekend mom! (:

Convent of Tepeapulco, Mexico - 20th December 2011

By: heynizajude

Hey mom!
Niza says she's very sorry of not updating but things are a bit crazy this days around here, unfortunately we found out we will not be able to go to the beach for the holidays ): but Niza says we'll do some fun stuff and sight seeing!
Anyways...last Saturday we went to her cousins wedding, it was so much fun!!

The ceremony was held on a franciscan convent of the XVI century!

On the inside patio of the convent

Along the others on the fountain

The main cross

The convent also has a mini museum with pieces from the ancient cultures that lived here before the spanish conquer!

There were shrunken heads :S

Some necklaces & carved stones

With Schnappi and some pots & vases

With some stone figures

And then came the party, there were lots of dance & fun and we got to eat lots of sweets! :D including some bride & groom cupcakes!

It was very fun!
Lots of love, Sansibar

Hey Mom!
We snapped some post-christmas pics, they are not a lot since this days have been mostly lazy-ness but Niza says she has a big surprise for us tomorrow! I can't wait!!!

Here we are before X-mas with the gifts, Niza got also postcards & packages, we were thinking if inside one of those there was a new tv...

And yes there was someone new! Edi der Bär he comes from Switzerland and he's a class mascot!

Also this days we learned how to play this game called "mexican train" it's so much fun!!

This family sure loves to play and there were some big money bets!

Well that's all for now, I can't wait for tomorrow!!!
