Vienna, Austria - 8th November 2011
By: curious77
Hi mom!!!
I arrived safe and sound in Austria! The other toys are really nice and we ate some Mozarttaler, which is a famous Austrian sweet!
The weather was perfect so we decided to spend the afternoon in the countryside! Although the sun was shining, it was quite windy....we discovered some kites!

We also saw some other horses, they were a bit wild, I think they were enjoying the nice weather!
Then we went to a vineyard. What a nice view! And there were still some grapes left!

I can't believe it's November! The sun is soooo nice and warm!
We went to the Danube. There was also a restaurant but it was closed so we just spent some time on that meadow.
*Yawn* After my journey and such an exciting day it's also good to be back on the couch and enjoy an apple with one of my new friends!
Good night!

Hosts' Home, Austria - 9th November 2011
By: curious77
Hi mom!!!
Cold and rainy outside. My hosts were also a bit busy, so I played cards with some of the other pets! The game was quite easy, so we'll go for "Activity" or "Cluedo" next time :-) I think I would be quite good at playing Activity!
Hope you are fine!!!

Hi mom!!
How are you? I'm fine! We visited the town centre of Klosterneuburg.
There is a wonderful monastery church. Can you see me on those stairs?

On the other side of the church, there is a large terrace where you have a nice view of the monastery gardens! I really like Austria so far! Looking forward to the upcoming days!

Irish pub, Austria - 11th November 2011
By: curious77
Hi mom!!
Last night we went to a pub quiz at an Irish pub in Vienna. There are many Irish pubs in Vienna (like everywhere in the world ). No worries - we were sitting in the non-smoking area! I enjoyed a pint and a burger! Then I helped the team of my hosts with the questions. For example, we had to know the name of Lucky Luke's dog. Why didn't they ask for the name of his horse? We got 19 out of 20 questions right!!!

Funfair, Austria - 12th November 2011
By: curious77
Hi mom!
Today we went to a funfair!!! It is called Leopoldimarkt because of Saint Leopold, the patron saint of Lower Austria. We went together with Paul the giraffe. My hosts and their friends had gone to the funfair last night and won Paul at a stall where they had to throw balls into barrels. Paul wanted to know everything about toyvoyaging.
At the funfair, there are a lot of rides, like a ghost train, a ship and one with motorbikes! So much fun!

There are also many food stalls. You can buy sweets, hot dogs, corn cob (called "Kukuruz" in Austria), baked potatoes but also bread and cheese!
I'm afraid I will really put on a lot of weight here in Austria, at least 15 grams!

Schnitzel time, Austria - 14th November 2011
By: curious77
Hi mom!!
More delicious food :-) We had lunch with curious77's parents. On occasion of my visit, they made the most famous Austrian dish: Schnitzel! Actually, the real Wiener Schnitzel is made from veal, but pork Schnitzel is more popular! My host dad took these nice photos at lunch. We also ate garlic soup and salad. Afterwards, I met their cat. The others told me he was a bit grumpy, but I still gave him a big hug!

Vienna, Austria - 15th November 2011
By: curious77
Hi mum!
We went to see a friend today and had the idea of taking some photos on a major bridge in Vienna with an old church on one side of the Danube and some modern buildings (Vienna's little skyline) on the other side. It had been foggy all morning and just when we got there the sun came out. And guess what? The battery of our camera was empty!! Curious77 says there must be something wrong, it should have been fully charged. It's a pity! But it was nice either way! We'll play Activity tonight. Talk to you soon!

Christmas market, Austria - 17th November 2011

Hi mom!
How are you? Guess what - We went to the Christmas market on the city hall square (Rathausplatz) of Vienna. Isn't it beautiful? We walked around for a while and I discovered a gingerbread house!!!
