Hi mum,

Today I had my first sunday lunch in a small pub in St Ives. Homemade pork and turkey with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and vegetables - yummi!!!


After the lunch we went to Porthmeor beach. It was very windy but not cold.




Look at me with the big rock on the beach.


My friends and me found shelter from the wind behind this rock.




Back home we had a traditional cornish cream tea with scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam and of course a big cup of tea.
Look at my friends and me enjoying tea time.




The english food is better than I thought it would be!

Hi mum,

Today is Richys birthday. Scilly, Clairchen, Lewis and I decorated the birthday table. It's nice, isn't it?




The sun was shining and so we went to the harbour. See me with the colorful boats. At low tide you can walk through the boats.






This is the lighthouse at the end of Smeatons Pier.


On our way to Porthminster beach we had some lovely views back to the harbour.




Here I am at Porhminster beach.


On our way home we saw St Ia church. Legend has it that St Ia was an irish missionary and came with a leaf from Ireland to Cornwall.

Hi mum,

Today we went on a bus tour around Penwith Peninsula. It is the most western part of Cornwall and really beautiful.

First we went to Penzance. It is situated in the Mount Bay. See me with St Michaels Mount in the far background. It is an old abbey on an island. How imposing!




In Penzance we had to change buses. Look at the many buses waiting.


First stop was Newlyn, the biggest fishing port in Cornwall.




Next stop was Mousehole. This is a little fishing village.


Then we came to Lamorna. In former time this was a smugglers cove.
Here is the old pub where the smugglers met.


Next stop was Porthcurno. Look at the lovely view from above.

There are many old tin mines in Cornwall. See me passing a ruin.


Then we stopped over at an old pub called Gurnards Head.


I had a hot chocolate inside. It was comfy with a fireplace.




Back outside we explored the countryside. See me with my friends.

Hi mum,

today was a rainy day. So we decided to spend the day in our holiday apartment.
First I want to show you the ToyVoyagers bedroom. Yes we have a bedroom for ourselfs with a big bed and cushion for each of us. 


We played Hide and Seek. See me in the drawer.


Then we played in the shelves.


We tried to ride this seagull. But no worry it was only a wooden one.




And it was raining, raining, raining......


So Scilly gave us a book and we red a little bit. But the book had no pictures - boring!


Then Scilly gave us each an advent calendar. Look at me with mine. I'm looking forward to open the boxes in December.




And I have a surprise for you  I wrote you a picture postcard from Cornwall and posted it by myself in the letterbox for you.




Tonight we are off to Truro.

Hi mum,

tonight the visited the festival of lights in Truro. A bus picked us up in St Ives.




Before the beginning of the parade we had time to visit the famous Truro cathedral. Look how imposing it looks.


Then the parade began. In the middle of the parade the christmas lights of Truro were switched on. The whole town was out and about.

We had so much fun. It's great to be a TV.

Hi mum,

Yesterday it was raining the whole day but today we woke up with sunshine No question, we had to spent the day outside at the beaches to enjoy the sun.
First we spend time at Porthgwidden beach. See me with my friends on a big rock.


But it was windy. So we found shelter below the rock. Can you see us?


On the next photograph you can see me above Bamaluz beach. But where is the beach gone? No worry, it's only a beach at low tide. And today we visited it at high tide.


In the harbour nearly all boats were in the water today.


We found this old anchor from an old ship wreck.


Look at me with this two seagulls. There are many seagulls in St Ives.


At the end of the day Clairchen and Lewis showed me the harbour amusements. But Scilly said, that's nothing for a small TV like me.


But it looks interesting

Hi mum,

our last day in St Ives. See us sitting by the harbour to take a last long look.




Then we saw a small dog hunting seagulls. We talked to him and found out his name is Spencer. He works as a dog on a fishing boat. He was very interested in our life as a TV. See us chatting with Spencer.




Scilly and Richy offered Spencer to become a Toyvoyager too. And Spencer was happy to join in. So all four of us took a long last look at Porthgwidden beach.




Then we walked home to pack the baggage.

Hi mum,

This was long day of traveling.
First by train from St Ives to London Paddington. See me on the train with my friends.


On the bridge over the Tamar river leaving Cornwall I stuck my head out of the window.






See me at the famous Paddington Station (where the famous Ms. Marple took the train at 16.50)


Then we waited at Heathrow to board the plane.


My second flight - now I am an experienced flyer. I even asked the stewardess about air miles. I didn't get the miles yet but the full "fly to serve" treatment.




That was another exciting day. The next update will come from Hamburg.

Hi mum,

we had a quiet week because Scilly was very busy.
And the weather this weekend is quite terrible. So we stayed home and prepared the Christmas decorations.

Scilly had a task for us. We had a competition. Me and Clairchen against Lewis and Spencer: which team can put together the Christmas tea lights faster.

As we all did it so well Scilly gave us all a German Lebkuchen heart.

Hi mum,

Today Scilly came home early and we thought it would be a good idea to take a walk.

See me in the Alsterpark near Scillys home.



After a short while it got dark and Scilly showed us a house which was decorated for christmas. Look, so many lights!




At the airport we took the rapid transit line to go home. But before we saw this big Advent wreath in the airport building. How beautiful!

Hi mum,

Today Scilly and Richy showed me the harbour of Hamburg.
Take a look at the Landungsbrücken.




They even have Mississippi steamers on the river Elbe.




This is an old sailing ship named Rickmer Rickmers which is now a museum ship.


The famous cruise liner Queen Mary 2 is currently in dock at Blohm & Voss in Hamburg. See me with this lovely boat.








In the neighbour dock was another cruise shop the P&O Oriana.

This is the musical theatre where they play the Lion King.


Todays visit to the harbour ends with a look at the Elbphilarmonie (concert hall) which is currently beeing built.

Hi mum,

Today Scilly helped me to fullfill one of my life missions  : In the evening we wanted to spend a nice evening in the Hard Rock Café.

But it was not possible to get a free table. So we only took a look.
Look at the guitar of Guns N` Roses.




Instead of having a drink in the Hard Rock Café Scilly showed us the "Alte Elbtunnel". It is an old tunnel under the river Elbe for cars, cyclists and pedestrians. It was build to connect the docklands with Hamburg and opend 100 years ago.

Hi mum,

Today Scilly showed us the famous St Michaelis church also called "Hamburger Michel". It is the biggest church in town and one of Hamburgs landmark.

This is the Gruner and Jahr publishing building.


Hamburg has many Christmas Markets. This is the biggest one in front of the city hall. Nice entrance, isn't it?


There are so many things to see. This is the toy alley, very interesting for me.  Can you see the small railway above me?


The Christmas market was overcrowded. So many people around us!


Imagine mum, I have seen Father Christmas!  Now I know, he is real!!! He was sitting in his sleigh. See me with Fahther Christmas and his flying reindeers.


On our way home we had a last view back. See the beautiful Christmas tree.

Hi mum,

this weekend we spend in Mecklenburg at Scillys parents. This is Scillys childhood home.



In the morning we baked Christmas cakes. See me with the rolling pin.





Look at me with my friends with a great basket filled with our cakes…. Hmm yummi!



That’s me in the afternoon while drinking a cup of coffee and eating a cake.



In the evening we decorated the Christmas tree. It is nice, isn’t it? Can you see me?

I spend Christmas time in Hamburg. Look at me and my friends under the Christmas tree and with all the presents.
