Fritzlar, Germany - 8th March 2012
By: Dr.Kröbner
Hello Mum ,
a trip to Fritzlar with hostmum and Happy Ping
Fritzlar is a small German town (pop. 15,000) in the Schwalm-Eder district in northern Hesse, 160 km (99 mi) north of Frankfurt, with a storied history. It can reasonably be argued that the town is the site where the Christianization of northern Germany (north and east of the Roman Limes) began and the birthplace of the German empire as a political entity
here you see the old church...very old
The St. Peter's Cathedral is one of the most beautiful Romanesque-Gothic churches in Hesse.
The Cathedral of Fritzlar measures 43 meters (from the basement to the top). He continues to shape the cityscape of the small town in the Schwalm-Eder-Kreis (formerly Circle Fritzlar-Homberg).
built and rebuilt several times, combines the Cathedral of St. Peter Roman and Gothic styles. In the oldest part of the Fritzlarer Domes are the crypts, which can also be viewed as the Cathedral, ..but not in the moment
look Mum a nice view in the Edertal...
This is the Monk Boniface he felled the oak, without being met, the expected wrath of the locals Donars and built from the wood a church that was dedicated to St. Peter. This event is considered the beginning of Christianity, not only in this area of the present diocese of Fulda.
The Town Hall in Fritzlar originated in Roman times (also called "bailiwick") and was first mentioned in documents in 1109
The town hall is decorated with a stone relief from the 1441 Holy St. Martin, the patron saint of Fritzlar.
Even the rest of town around the market in Fritzlar is determined by imposing half-timbered buildings
I found this very old oven and look...the oven was built long ago in Delligsen...
the last picture in Fritzlar with the moon...sorry it`s a bit blurry
When we arrived back in Delligsen, Bruno and Cosyfuzz have been
asleep, very good
love you your Hoppsi

Bad Wildungen, Germany - 27th March 2012
By: Dr.Kröbner
Hello Mum,
news from your little bunny....
I spend the weekend in Bad Wildungen,
Bad Wildungen lies in the eastern foothills of the Kellerwald range in the so-called Waldeck holiday regio...
if you have any problems with your health, you must come...because....
Wildungen is a therapeutic spa with springs that bring forth water containing iron, magnesium and carbonic acid ("sparkling" or "carbonated")....good for orthopaedics, psychosomatic illness treatment, internal medicine, rheumatology, neurology, oncology and urology
A nice view over the town……
the other side..
then I decided to visit Schloss Friedrichstein, which was planned by Count Josias II in 1660 and completed between 1707 and 1714 by Prince Friedrich Anton Ulrich zu Waldeck...long way puhh..
a little church near by the castle
now I´m very relaxed
bye, bye..

Biesenthal, Germany - 7th April 2012
By: QuamQuam
HAPPY EASTER FOR EVERYBODY
I spent a wonderful day in Biesenthal at the home of Marie's uncle and aunt. We painted eggs there. Look at mine, it's the best.
Then we explored the forest which was only five minutes away and played "Eiertrudeln": We rolled eggs wrapped with aluminium foil down a versant. The winner was the one whose egg rolled farthest. This was so much fun . Unfourtunately neither Aurelius nor I won. The winner was Marie's sister. But we all got a prize: We could eat the eggs .
In the evening we went back to Berlin by S-Bahn. Aurelius and I had our own seat. It was badly needed because we were very tired.
Good night Mummy

Yippie, today my relative the Easter bunny came to hide some presents, I was so excited .
We searched in Marie's flat because it was very cold outside and she was a bit ill. We looked into all corners of the living room but we found nothing . After a few minutes we found some sweets, what luck! As I looked up I even spotted a plush toy. It was hidden between the books on the bookshelf. I found it very cute .
At the end of our search the "spoils" looked very impressive. I'm already looking forward to the next Easter.
Greetings
