Viherlandia Garden Center

I was happy to visit Viherlandia, my host´s favourite gardening shop. We enjoyed a delicious salad in Café Restaurant Eden, found beautiful flowers and plants, herbs, decoration and garden supplies. http://viherlandia.fi/

Baking

They really like to bake in this home. Today I was helping to bake "Herb-ham muffins". Not sweet but delicious!

Fair

Our main reason for going to a fair was the book fair. It was so interesting that we forgot to take photos there  But we bought lots of books and post cards.

We were walking ahead and found many interesting things and took pictures for example of cars, hot air balloon and many characters. We met Ville Viikinki of the Viking Lines, Pippi Longstockings, Hilarius Mouse (he lives 30 km from this town and has many adventures in books and films) http://www.hilariushiiri.fi/ and Peukkis and Pinni, two green creatures who call themselves Tommeltotti and live in this town in an adventure park called Peukkula (my host has been more than 100 times!!!). http://www.peukkula.fi/

Look at the snow!

It is April and it is still winter. This must be some kind of trick because today is the April fool´s day... But this kind of sunny winter day sure is beautiful! Here are my photos of today

Kirjasto - Library

I was at the library and found so many books of Teddy Bears! Some of the books were almost too exciting... I spent there a loooong time looking at the pictures and reading the books in Finnish 

I am sure we took a picture also in front of the library, but could not find it. Now you can only imagine how it looks...

Road trip

On a beautiful day like this we decided to drive a little.

Our firs stop was the old wooden church of Petäjävesi (Unesco WHS) just 30 km from home.

On the road again...

"Haapamäki Steam Locomotive Park brings back nostalgic memories of railroad history of the past 100 years." The park is open only summer time but we were able to see many locomotives and old railway station buildings.

The rabbits had also been interested in the trains... I saw lots of foot prints. No bears this time 

We continued to drive and we arrived at the grandparents home. In the evening I was watching a colorful sunset.

Walking on sunshine

I took a walk ON the snow together with my host family and my TV friend Krok Little http://kroklittle.blogspot.com/

First I was wondering the shadows on the snow and icicles on the roofs from my host´s pocket.

Then I was taken care by the daughter, she found me nice places to be photographed. I was in a tree, behind the tree, in the ant´s nest (some of the ants were already moving!), with the willows, in the birch forest, near a bird house, under the snow... And dancing on the country road 

I saw many footprints on the way (fox, squirrel with Krok) and also made my own 

What a wonderful walk!!!

Easter

I got my own Easter egg, I found it next to my pillow when I woke up. I´m sorry, I missed the bunny 

Everybody here loves The Hunger Games (books and movie). Today we watched together The Hunger Games movie. Don´t worry, it was not scary. I liked it!

ToyVoyager meeting. Part 1

My host knows other ToyVoyager hosts and decided to have a meeting with one of them. We were 10 voyagers together. 

First we climbed up the stone stairs to the ridge and visited the Natural History Museum of Central Finland, which is situated to a building called Vesilinna = Water castle

You know me, I´m the big brown bear.
You have also met Krok Little, the green frog.
On my left you can see a pink hippo called Porridge.
On my head sits a tiny tiger called Sylvia.
I´m holding in my hand a bee whose name is Bzzzzz.
On my right side sits a teddy bead called Amy. <3
In front of Amy is Niiskuneiti.
Next to Niiskuneiti sits Mo.
Behind Amy is trying to hide Ape Apina.
And on the right sits a bunny called Tokki.

I saw a bear, another bear, a bear saw me. I also saw some footprints of a bear. Suddenly I feel like a small bear...

ToyVoyager meeting. Part 4: Adventure goes on in the Natural History Museum

Me and all my TV friends saw many interesting things in the Natural History Museum like a Map of Finland showing where the meteorites have hit, and we all sat on the globe (I didn´t stay...). We saw rocks, plants, landscapes and animals and also heard their sounds... The bear was quiet but the wolfs were howling and the swans were noisy, too 

After all this excitement we continued our meeting elsewhere...
