Hey there! (:
This is Schnappi reporting I'm finally in Mexico! I arrived here yesterday but since Niza didn't had my password she couldn't update the travelog, here are some arrival pics (:

http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sch1.jpg
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sch2.jpg

As the same time as me another TV from Germany arrived, his name is Barry (:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sch3.jpg

Then we had dinner, we had some "arroz con sardina" or rice with sardine, it was pretty good (:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sch4.jpg

We also had some delicious cake
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sch5.jpg

And I even got a bite of chocolate!
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sch6.jpg

We met some of the resident toys, even tough none of them are toyvoyagers some of them are from different countries!
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/barr4.jpg

We watched some tv
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/barr5.jpg

This are from today morning, look at the beautiful sun! no cold weather, no snow! :D
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sch10.jpg

We walked outside a bit and found some chili peppers!
There's green
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sch7.jpg

And red
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sch8.jpg

We met cookie the dog
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sch9.jpg

Niza says we'll be taking our first stroll around Mexico city tomorrow after her classes, I'm so excited!
Well mum I send you a big kiss, Schnappi

Mexico city, Mexico - 14th November 2011

By: heynizajude

Hey mom!
We got to see a bit of Mexico city for the first time and it was great! The weather was nice and we took lots of pictures!
We started our day with Niza at school, then we took the subway and it goes from there...
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc19.jpg

We hung around at the centre, we got a glimpse of the latin american tower
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc3.jpg

And we got closer...
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc4.jpg

We found this monument that is from home! form Germany!
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc1.jpg
On the back it says: to the mexican people from the german community, september 17 1921
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc2.jpg

We walked through some streets...
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc5.jpg

There are some really nice buildings (:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc6.jpg

And we got to the Zócalo, which is the main square, Niza says the flag looks extremely nice flying with the wind, but they had it like this because the secretary of government died on friday
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc7.jpg

This is Palacio nacional, the president's office and the central government office
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc8.jpg

The cathedral is in one side
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc9.jpg

And the templo mayor (which are some aztec ruins) are there too!
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc10.jpg

There is this model of how Tenochtitlán (Mexico city in the aztec days) looked back then...it was almost all water!
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc11.jpg

This is the statue of the founders, it tells the story of the legend of the foundation of Mexico city, which tells the aztecs were told to settle where they found an eagle eating a snake over a cactus
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc12.jpg

We walked through the portals of one of the buildings next to the Zócalo
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc13.jpg

Also we walked infront the MUNAL (national art museum), Niza says we'll  get to enter some museums soon!
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc14.jpg

And some statues of aztec emperors, Nezahualcoyotl, Izcoatl and Totoquihuatzin, can you say the names? :P they are like tongue twisters!
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc16.jpg
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc15.jpg
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc17.jpg

And before coming home to rest we ate a snack, some tea & doritos :P
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc18.jpg

Well that was our day today, as you can see it was awesome! I can't wait for more adventures around Mexico city!
A big hug, Schnappi

http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc24.jpg

Alameda Central, one of the main streets in Mexico city, on the back you can see a bit of the monument to mexican revolution
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc25.jpg

When we came home we got a nice surprise, another two tv's from Germany! They are Sansibar and Lou
Niza lent us her german-spanish dictionary to practice our español a little bit, when I go home I will teach you some ;)
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/ba10-1.jpg

Mexico city, Mexico - 23rd November 2011

By: heynizajude

Hi mum!
Today we went around the city again and here's our adventures of the day:

Niza said I already have a picture here but since the weather was better and the fountain actually had water this time I should have a better picture (:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sch36.jpg

We passed by the fountain of abundance that is outside of the national lottery building
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sch37.jpg

Since 20 of november is the anniversary of mexican revolution and this sunday it was extra special because it was the 100 anniversary of the ending of it we went to the monument to the mexican revolution!
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sch38.jpg
We were supposed to go up but when we got there Niza realized she forgot her student card so we couldn't go up ): however she promissed friday we will!

Here's the street towards the square of the republic (where the monument is) you can see the mexican flags and palm trees!
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sch39.jpg

This is the sculpture of "el caballito" or the little horse which is modern, the side view is better but since they're doing work on the street we couldn't stand there to take pictures
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/sc40.jpg

When we arrived home we found another german tv! her name is Entchen
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223/niza_schit/en2.jpg

I'm excited to go to the monument of revolution on friday!
Love
Schnappi
