Vilnius, Lithuania - 6th October 2012

By: coraline

Dear mum,
today we went to see SODO KRAITĖ in Vilnius Old Town. It's an event for those who have their own garden and they can find plants, trees, flower seeds here.

http://i.picasion.com/resize59/373d17d9c5334d2afeac9608d8b8defc.jpg

We could also eat apples, other vegetables!

http://i.picasion.com/resize59/d1aa9bb1f22c93838bf188ed356f8f9d.jpg

This fair showed a lot of nice art works from goodies that autumn brings! Look at this little guy:

http://i.picasion.com/resize59/4e79cf33acb8991da5b303f6cea85d39.jpg

And heey, chickens are here, too!

http://i.picasion.com/resize59/750696179db0ba5d334503ac1eccd90d.jpg

It wasn't warm outside, so when we came back home, Karolina's mum made me a cosy knitted scarf for the cold season. I gave her a big kiss for that. Now I don't feel cold!

http://i.picasion.com/resize59/8ddb1690774f447a11555d933db83990.jpg

Well, that's all for now.
Kisses,
Kalea

Shandong province, China - 9th December 2012

By: Monachu

Hello, mom!!!!
Today grandma took us to a Xinjiang style restaurant, which food is northern taste. We tried it for the first time. This is a soup, country style.
http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w641/Monachuma/Kalea/249_zps2d7c221e.jpg

Oh, this is the Xinjiang style of representative food, it has chicken, potatoes, noodles, hot pepper and so on. It tastes very good, and this plate has at least 45CM!!!
http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w641/Monachuma/Kalea/250_zpsaf77fc65.jpg

We went to a jadeite decorations store. It is small shop, also have other large shop. Chinese people called: Feicui, are very loved it, everyone has its decorations and jewelry. The price difference is very big: some very cheap, only need to ¥30-50. Some very expensive, even if you work for a lifetime also can not afford. In the south of other city, there are a lot of people "gambling jadeite".
http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w641/Monachuma/Kalea/251_zps63e93260.jpg

This kind jadeite decorations is a traditional Chinese, host's every family all have it.
http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w641/Monachuma/Kalea/252_zps8d4910e6.jpg

http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w641/Monachuma/Kalea/253_zps00c41e1e.jpg

At dinner, grandma made a very important food, Chinese called it: Jiaozi 餃子. Hostmom's family called it: Bianshi 扁食 or Yueshi 月食. Mom, please see this: Jiaozi
I feel the magic, but it is really delicious.

http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w641/Monachuma/Kalea/260_zps767b2ac5.jpg

This is the traditional Chinese sausage, grandma said, it still needs a period of time can eat.
http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w641/Monachuma/Kalea/261_zpse6377a1b.jpg
