Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic - 19th August 2012
By: Krtecek
To get a break from all the nature and hiking we decided to visit Cesky Krumlov, a town in the south of the Czech republic that is protected by UNESCO as a world heritage. It was beatiful. The medieval town is surrounded by the river Vltava that meanders around it. The streets are narrow and the houses are more than 500 years old. Alla long the river, there are fish restaurants with fresh fish and traditional Czech drink – pivo (beer).

By: Krtecek
Above the city of Cesky Krumlov there is a large castle that is visible from all over the city with its colourful tower. Also the inside walls of the castle are full of colours dating to the period of rennaissance. And the view….What a beauty. Behing the castle there is a French style garden with fountains and statues.

Cungkup Temple-East Java, Indonesia - 12th January 2013
By: Linda Fdph
Hello Mom
Here iam, visited one of the Majapahit kingdom ruins, called Candi Cungkup ( Cungkup Temple ) . Majapahit (1300-1500 AC) is one of the greatest kingdom in Indonesia. The function of the Temple is not clear. Some opinion said the function is cremation temple for Prince escort Kertawardhana, the husband of the great Queen of Majapahit, Queen Tribhuwana Tunggadewi
The road to the ruins is difficult, with soil road and river without bridge, but we can enjoy the stunning rice field there

BajraSandhi-Bali, Indonesia - 1st March 2013
By: Linda Fdph
Dear Mum
Here iam at Bajra Sandhi Monument, one of the iconic building in Denpasar, capital city of Bali.
The architecture of the monument is very unique, taking the shape of Bajra or Genta, a bell that used by Hindu Priests during religious ceremonies. It is also a symbol of the bond between males and females that creates prosperity according to the epic that tells the story of the Gods struggle to get the Water of Eternity.
Every statue and each carving in the monument compound has its own meaning. The whole of the monument symbolizes Mount Mandara where, according to the epic Mahabarath, the Gods had a battle with giants fighting for the Water of Eternity

Kertagosa-Klungkung-Bali, Indonesia - 4th May 2013
By: Linda Fdph
Hello Mum
Kertha Gosa is an old building of jurisdiction and legislation and is one of the main areas in Bali that has been important throughout history in the development of modern Bali. Located within the district of Klungkung in the north of the island and is an excellent and grand old area with amazing history. The words Kertha Gosa mean peaceful announcement which has been the prime focus of the Kertha Gosa throughout history. The inside and outside of the Kertha Gosa and all around it there is some amazing art in the form of paintings and carvings of wood and stone. This is an area unlike the temples of Bali and the feel is very different. Here at the Kertha Gosa the focus is on power and the importance of the legal system as it was here that trials and penalization was carried out. When inside the Kertha Gosa it is easy to feel how it must have been in the old days when the trials and deep discussions on the politics of the area where carried out. The Kertha Gosa is not only of great cultural value but many of the artifacts and artwork that is inside the building has been deemed extremely valuable although obviously it will remain inside.
And here I took a picture with modern Indonesian girls ( they are student) that still using their traditional clothes ( called kebaya ) if attending a party, pray to the Gods and also another ceremonial occasion.
Love
