Hexham, North East England - 18th May 2012

By: Snamoen

Hi Mum!

I've arrived safely in England.  The journey was fine, but I'm happy to be out of my envelope!  I was greeted by Tobbi, Sheela and Paula Hip.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090549400x220.jpg

The four of us started chatting and we got to know each other.  Apparently Paula had only just arrived today as well!
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090551400x300.jpg

After Paula and I were shown around the house, we decided to go outside and enjoy the weather while we could.  Tobbi and Sheela said that it had been raining quite a lot.  So we definitely have to take advantage of the good weather!  And what better way than to play hide and seek?

So while Tobbi counted to 100, we all hid.

Hm, this looks like a good spot!
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090556300x400.jpg

Yep, it's definitely a good spot.  I better be quiet so that I won't be heard!
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090557300x400.jpg

Oh, sssh, here's Tobbi looking for me...
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090559400x300.jpg

I can't help it though, I started to giggle a bit, and he found me.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090560400x300.jpg

Then the two us work together to find the others.  I spotted Paula, she was well hidden!
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090564400x300.jpg

Then the three of us climb up onto the table to see if we can spot Sheela.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090565400x300.jpg

And after a long time we eventually found her - she was very well hidden!
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090566300x400.jpg

We were all pretty tired after that, so we went back inside and had a nap with Snoopy, hostmum's cat.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090571400x300.jpg

Bye,
Flummi

Hexham, North East England - 21st May 2012

By: Snamoen

Hi Mum,

I had a lot of fun today!  First Hostmum's friend Gizalba came to visit with some of the TVs that she's hosting.  So in total there were 7 TVs!

We decided that it would be fun to go and explore Hexham.

Here I am in front of Hexham Abbey.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070284400x300.jpg

Inside we took a group photo.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070260300x400.jpg

There's Pinky Bear, Paula Hip, me, Tobbi, Sheela, Imperio and Edelweiss.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070264400x286.jpg

Then we went down into the 7th century crypt.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070291295x400.jpg

It was very dark down there!
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070288300x400.jpg

When we went back up the stairs into the Abbey, I saw these huge church organs.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070296300x400.jpg

Then we went to the 'Old Gaol', which was the first ever jail in England.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070267300x400.jpg

http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070274400x300.jpg

We thought it would be fun to take a group photo in the stocks.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070271400x300.jpg
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070272400x300.jpg

After that we went to the toy orphanage, and soon Hippy joined us (he's still waiting for his TV code).

Then we went to the park.  While Hostmum and her friend relaxed on the benches, us TVs had fun playing.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070310300x400.jpg

This statue was built to remember those that fought in both World Wars.

http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070317400x300.jpg

It was a very good day, but I'm very tired now.

Night Mum!

Chesters Roman Fort, North East England - 22nd May 2012

By: Snamoen

Hi Mum!

It was such lovely weather today.  Really gorgeous - the sun was shining and there was hardly a cloud in the sky.  We thought it would be perfect for a nice walk.

Isn't the English countryside pretty?
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090577300x400.jpg

We decided it would be fun to visit the Roman Fort at Chesters.  Here I am with Sheela, Tobbi, Hippy and Paula Hip.  We're standing in front of the barracks - where the soldiers slept.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090578400x300.jpg

Here's a group picture of all of us - as you can see, Gizalba and her visiting TVs, Pinky Bear, Imperio and Edelweiss joined us as well - which made the day even more fun!
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090580400x300.jpg

The fort is part of something called Hadrian's Wall, which was built almost 2000 years ago in AD122.  When it was finished, it was more than 200km long and in some places it was 10m high!  The Roman Emperor Hadrian had it built so that the Scot's wouldn't be able to invade their empire - the wall completely divided England and Scotland.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090589400x300.jpg

Here we are in the Baths - we're sitting in what used to be a 'locker' - where the soldiers kept their belongings while they used the baths.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090593300x400.jpg

And here we are in what used to be the steam room - a sauna.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090594400x300.jpg

Oooh, the Commandant's house!
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090610400x300.jpg

http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090602400x300.jpg

After all that exploring, we thought it was time for a little break by the river.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090586400x300.jpg

Aah, catching some sun!
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090592300x400.jpg

Phew, it sure is hot though.  Hmm, we better find some shade.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090612400x300.jpg

And after all that... Hostmum treated us to some ice cream!
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1090631400x300.jpg

After the ice cream, we all agreed that we were quite tired and hot and that it was time to go back to Hostmum's house.  When we arrived, we saw that there was a package waiting for us.

How exciting, I wonder what's in it?
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070322400x300.jpg

We better open it and find out.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070323400x300.jpg

It's Huhn!  I think he was surprised to see so many TVs!
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070324400x300.jpg

We all welcomed him and he told us about his journey - like me, he has travelled from Germany.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070326400x300.jpg

It was a very nice day today, I had a lot of fun - and the ice cream was delicious!

Bye,
Flummi

Hexham, North East England - 25th May 2012

By: Snamoen

Hi Mum!

The weather over here is really nice at the minute.

So of course we've all been taking advantage of that by playing out in the sun.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070347400x300.jpg

After a while we all grew tired - the sun was so hot!  So I decided to relax with Snoopy for a little bit.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070374400x300.jpg

Then I joined the others, sitting in the sun and having a nice chat with them.
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070339300x400.jpg

Because of the warm weather, I got thirsy pretty quickly.  Hostmum gave me a nice cool Sprite - ah, just what I needed!
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070341300x400.jpg

Then, while the others were doing their own thing, I thought it would be nice to cook everyone dinner.  Look Mum - I'm barbecuing!
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u474/Snamoen/P1070373400x300.jpg

Everyone enjoyed their food and said I did a really good job.  I was so happy!

Bye,
Flummi
