Today we visited the Mall of America.  I think it's the biggest Mall here in America!  It is four stories of stores with a huge park called Nickelodeon Universe right in the middle.

The Mall gets really busy, so we went as soon as it opened in the morning to try to avoid the crowds.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-h9p4_gpWCeM/T3yLM7XY5uI/AAAAAAAAAbA/pJUkRsBjVsY/s640/P1060239.JPG

While shopping, we found a store called Build-A-Bear.  I watched as a bear got stuffed!  Then I found a friend that I wanted to take home with me.  This is Kisses for You Puppy.

At the Peeps Store, I really wanted to take a chocolate bath.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-cqaj2ShlhSE/T3yKv7acNSI/AAAAAAAAAbQ/jO1adcoiyrg/s640/P1060226.JPG

Nickelodeon Universe is a big park in the middle of the mall.  They have real trees inside!  There are lots of fun rides and games.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-rb4PocK1RPE/T3yLIgSnvwI/AAAAAAAAAbg/K5mLHbqaTD8/s640/P1060236.JPG

I stopped to get something to drink.  Am I old enough to drink this?  Dick didn't look too happy about sharing...

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-pN5u4oxuCnY/T3yLQmlbF0I/AAAAAAAAAbk/O98f3SP_trI/s640/P1060241.JPG

It was a great day!  Tomorrow my hosts are planning on staying home and making something.  I'm not sure what we'll make.

Miss you!

Bloomington, Minnesota, USA - 5th April 2012

Hello!

Today we didn't go out anywhere, but I didn't mind. I was very busy making a room for my friend Peep.  We started with a box that was just the right size for her room.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-RwvX-YhAc6Q/T35EAYEINzI/AAAAAAAAAe0/LDQe06vx3MM/s400/P1060256.JPG

I had to put up the wallpaper because she was too short.  Peep put the carpet in place.  Then I put up some flower stickers.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-R804E3ayL5M/T35EM5Xv03I/AAAAAAAAAfE/auWuSCVeiuA/s400/P1060261.JPG

Peep picked out an egg bed she really liked.  I wanted to try it out, but I just couldn't fit!

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-Ehde6L_Hv_0/T35EfdTmdiI/AAAAAAAAAfI/xc2mN18-xoU/s400/P1060266.JPG

I got busy with the scissors and made a little surprise for Peep.  It's a nice warm blanket for her bed.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-hBLhZRKEMUo/T35E6Zt4-YI/AAAAAAAAAfQ/ddntXHq8v80/s400/P1060272.JPG

This room was too much pink and flowers for a boy like me, but it's cool for a girl.  Peep was very happy with her new room and her blanket.  I was happy to help out another TV and make something fun!

I've been busy the last two days.  I was very happy to be able to send home a postcard to RichMich.  I picked out a postcard at the zoo earlier this week.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/--bEyYiSYdRA/T4CtzgfBioI/AAAAAAAAAgc/vgGWEUqw6Ns/s400/P1060288.JPG

After working on a room for Peep I decided to make a fun room for other TVs to stay in while they are here.  Since I liked the zoo so much, I made a room just like it.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-qtHByoNB6Yc/T4Ctyp3gS2I/AAAAAAAAAgk/jnR_7MJqxpk/s400/P1060290.JPG

Finally, today I got out of the house to visit a pet rat.  His name is Slinky.  He was very interested in me.

We'll spend the rest of the day getting ready for Easter, and tomorrow we are going to Wisconsin!  Happy Easter!

West Central Wisconsin, USA - 8th April 2012

By: lazyfairy

Hello!

I did a lot of riding in the car today.  We drove to Wisconsin to visit some people for Easter.

I think I had the best seat in the car, although the windows were a little dirty.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-aYKzmCaeee0/T4JIoA1XF4I/AAAAAAAAAig/cTJ0CIlaiLE/s400/P1060311.JPG

There were lots of farms where we drove.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-9aVOLx6wpI8/T4JIx6sHoJI/AAAAAAAAAio/QvCCZvoKJ1o/s400/P1060321.JPG

I saw a lot of cows.  Wisconsin is called America's Dairyland and is known for it's milk and cheese production.  Some cows are black and white, and some are brown.  Is this where chocolate milk comes from?

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-RTKj2hLr3Gg/T4JI7BVyRRI/AAAAAAAAAiw/Y1nZK5bFpxk/s400/P1060329.JPG

In this part of Wisconsin, the sky looks so much bigger.  My host tells me it's because there are not many buildings blocking the horizon.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-M2ucBNfuIwM/T4JI2vLpYZI/AAAAAAAAAi4/LVbprvUeMWI/s400/P1060327.JPG

Being away from the big cities means being closer to nature.  It was so beautiful here.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-tKg67nl_dJ8/T4JJasqgX8I/AAAAAAAAAjA/c0j_iNlWu4M/s400/P1060367.JPG

I made a few new friends today.  This is a Cockatiel.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-NEbsPJYHzuM/T4JIrDRHCJI/AAAAAAAAAjI/UHtsLus1p4o/s400/P1060323.JPG

This lion let me stand in his mouth!  (Not really, he's a drinking fountain!)  I wasn't even scared.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-T0_oOeGRea0/T4JJIlJYQrI/AAAAAAAAAjQ/wYk0SfixboA/s400/P1060344.JPG

Before I go, I want to wish a Happy Easter to all my friends!

St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - 11th April 2012

By: lazyfairy

Today I visited Hidden Falls Park in St. Paul, Minnesota.

First we took a walk in the forest.  Everything was green and growing.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-gSZxsS5gnds/T4XQemUQsXI/AAAAAAAAAmE/AowqQ6axhBM/s400/P1060429.JPG

I found a fun tree to play inside.  Someone probably lives here, but they weren't home today.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-IZFEHKFO63A/T4XQZAGiyqI/AAAAAAAAAmM/moDsuIqQZcI/s400/P1060431.JPG

While we were walking, we found the Two Rivers Overlook.  It overlooks where the Mississippi River and the Minnesota River meet.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-vT400a8B6BY/T4XQut-rE1I/AAAAAAAAAmU/d12bxFHjgmw/s400/P1060438.JPG

Finally we made it down to the Mississippi River.  The Mississippi River is the largest river system in North America.  Across the river and up the hill I could see the Barracks of Historic Fort Snelling.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-10crDHEjLKk/T4XQti-2MbI/AAAAAAAAAmg/qiW5OGCaKaE/s400/P1060442.JPG

We didn't find the Hidden Falls, but if we make it back here, I'm gonna look for it!

Bloomington, Minnesota, USA - 13th April 2012

By: lazyfairy

Hello!

Tonight we did a little driving around in the car to try to find some pretty buildings all lit up at night.  We didn't want to wander too far, so we didn't have much luck.  At least the night air was cool and refreshing!

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Tt7FnrHnN28/T4e4I0CGbAI/AAAAAAAAArA/QAoSymFzUzs/s400/P1060477.JPG

We did find some trees with streetlights nearby.  I think these two were my favorite.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-KcRV_iuNHUM/T4e4Zsj7ydI/AAAAAAAAArI/fnh4orInLQQ/s400/P1060487.JPG

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-KzVS587DyzM/T4e4mBFAVjI/AAAAAAAAArQ/w9pGcOvppBs/s400/P1060493.JPG

It was nice to get out of the house.  Tomorrow will be raining, so I think I'll be sleeping in!

St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - 14th April 2012

By: lazyfairy

Today the sun was out and the weather was warm.  I made it back to Hidden Falls Park and continued my quest to find the Hidden Falls.

I wondered if climbing a tree would make it easier to see where I was going.  It didn't help much, but the cherry blossoms smelled very good!

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-SHzfkKhyjEw/T4ncxrD4MoI/AAAAAAAAAvQ/uut-J5qA3XU/s400/P1060535.JPG

I found some sandstone cliffs.  The sandstone is very soft and easy to carve into with a rock or a stick.  Many people have carved names and pictures here.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-5qLjZ-XLfFY/T4nZn6kBXtI/AAAAAAAAAus/qgOufe7c6nE/s400/P1060530.JPG

Not too far from the sandstone cliffs, I made a very important discovery.  It's the Hidden Falls!  The water level is low this year, but it's still very pretty.  I was so happy to have finally found it!

Paris, France - 21st April 2012

By: Krtecek

My first visit of Paris. I met other toyvoyagers and together we took a bicycle (thats called „velo“ in French) and went to see the Centre George Pompidou a museum of modern art. It is a huge building with all the pipes on the exterior of the buildings and in different colours – air/conditioning is blue, water is green and electricity is yellow. Also the staircases are on the exterior and the building is thus very unusual in a historical centre.

Next to the Centre George Pompidou we saw an interesting fountain and our host told us it was the Stravinski fountain a is a whimsical public fountain ornamented with sixteen works of sculpture, moving and spraying water, representing the works of composer Igor Stravinsky.

Then we walked in the district of Les Halles which is a shopping area of Paris with many boutiques, shops, cafes, and restaurants. And suddenly we smelled something very very good. We followed the smell until a small boulangerie (bakery) with all kinds of goodies. We couldnt resist.

The last week was not very optimistic as it was raining all the time. Even Sunday was a bit rainy at the beginning, me and other toyvoyagers stayed at home and decided to help our host with cooking.

First of all we needed to clean the kitchen. I and Creamsheep cleaned the dishes and then Dolivia, Creamsheep and Sofia dried them. Then we prepared all ingredients for a delicious pasta with chicken and cream cheese.

Dolivia poured some water into the saucepan, I added the salt, Sofia weighted the pasta and Creamsheep turned on the heater. Then we were all eagerly waiting for the results of our hard work. And it was delicious.

Paris, France - 29th April 2012

In the afternoon the weather became a little nicer and we had a few rays of sun. So we decided to go for a visit of the most famous cemetery in Paris – Pere Lachaise with graves of many famous people such as Jim Morrison, Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf, Moliere and others. The place is full of trees and has a very calm atmosphere. Out of the many famous people we decided to stop by the grave of Edith Piaf on the top of the cemetery overlooking the city of Paris.
