Strolled through the city center this morning. Hey, what is this alley-way?

When I came out of the alley-way I was standing right in front of the Orlando House and the Hofbräuhaus.

Inside the Hofbräuhaus it was quite empty - I was there even before 10:00 a. m. and it had just opened. The beer garden is nice and I like the paintings on the walls inside. I also saw the beer mug storage - some people have their own beer mugs and they are stored in shelve (with locks on it!). I heard that the waiting list for space in the shelve is long and you have to wait for years. 

Passed the Munich Opera today.

In the mornings I go for a walk with the dog along the Isar river.

It is Christopher Street Day today in Munich. I loved to see the colorful outfits.

the weather is nasty these days, very windy, cold and rain. but I helped my host to pick up some veggies in the garden .... there were a lot of big zucchinis!

I took a stroll along the German Museum. these days a lot of people are there for a visit - it is vacation time and also lots of tourists come here.. In front of the museum there are several huuuge turbines.

After work my hosts takes me to nice walks - today I am walking along the Isar river, right in the city center. There is a nice, old building that looks interesting - it is the Müller'sche Volksbad, an art deco building, inside it is a swimming-pool. My host says it is nice to swim and see golden paintings and ornaments on the ceiling.

Three times during the year there is the "Auer Dult" (Fair in the Au - Au is a Munich city quarter). It is right in the front of a church on Mariahilfplatz and really huge. They sell loads of household stuff and deco things there.

Besides ceramics and household stuff there are also lots of nice things to eat and a fair.

I should have moved on already but I still wanted to stay on ..... for a trip to the Alpes. However, the weather being just too hot during my stay for hiking it looks like I have to move on first and come back later for some tours in the Bavarian mountains.

It's time to move on ... looking forward to Bruchsal

We only knew since one week, that we will go on a holiday in Sweden and now it's the day to say goodbye to Bruchsal and sit in the car for hours.

We've seen the Kiel Canal, but it was difficult to take a photo with it.

Over night we stayed at a hostel. It was small, but we slept well. We had a lot of bags with us, so we hardly found a place to sit down.




We were rather thirsty and happy, that we had some Coke to drink. We had to share it with the humans, though.






We went on a small sightseeing tour:

St. Nikolai-Church with the market place is the biggest church of Flensburg. It is a gothis hall church. They started to built this church in 1390 so it is rather old.




The Holy Ghost Church is the main church building of the Danish church. It is also a gothic hall church, built in 1386.




These sailing ships are for tourist tours.
