Voyager of the Week Archive: Melek

This is Melek a previous winner of Voyager of the Week.

Melek was first introduced to Toyvoyagers in September of this year thanks to Mentor ‘Nuriayasmin’ and has already made an impressive start to his a travelog while staying with first host ‘Eohippus’.

While exploring Finland he has seen the Sibelius Monument in Helsinki, visited the harbour to see all of the fishermens boats and ships, been to Uspenski Cathedral, sipped ‘’glogi’’ around a campfire in a forest and wandered around the local market square, just to name a few things.

Melek has also acquired experience of using many different modes of transportation during his travels from tram, bus, ferry, train and even by aeroplane as he accompanied Eohippus to Portugal too. What a natural-born traveller he is! It was here in Portugal that Melek visited another capital city (to help him with his life mission), Lisbon! He has ventured inside the beautiful Jeronimos Monstery in Belem, taken note of the plantlife and spotted both fig and eucalyptus trees in Almada and took a trip to the beach at the now popular tourist area of Cascais.

Melek has balanced his work and play though and since leaving home has focused on learning a little bit of a different language each month with the help of his host to work towards another of his life missions. So far he has learnt a little bit of Slovak, Finnish & Portuguese!

We look forward his continuing adventures and thank ‘Nuriayasmin’ for introducing Melek to us and Eohippus for being a wonderful first host to him.
